Pre-planning your funeral is a thoughtful and responsible way to show you care about your family.
Funerals are no easy task. There are numerous considerations to factor in, including logistics, food and drink, casket purchase and burial grounds. A loved one’s death brings immense emotional strain to any family, and the question of financing and arrangements only exacerbates the stress.
Handling all of these challenges is difficult enough in one’s normal circumstances, but having to go through it while abroad is an enormous burden.
Golden Leaves Funeral Plans aims to support grieving families during these tumultuous times. Since our inception in 1984, we have partnered with a widespread network of funeral directors across the UK and Europe.
Purchasing a funeral plan with Golden Leaves enables you to plan, design and pay for your funeral services in advance.
As one of the leading providers of expat prepaid funeral plans in Spain, Portugal, Cyprus, Balearic Islands, and the Canary Islands, we make sure to adequately support your family in the time of greatest need.

Vetiver Spain in Sayalonga
Are you having soil erosion issues after all the recent rain?
Vetiver is the perfect solution with the 3 – 4 metre root system.
The plant is non invasive, grows rapidly and once established it needs very little water.
We are finally open again for business. We are still not permitted to have visitors at our nursery but we can ship plants via post or we can deliver locally.
Our first day of shipping was Monday and we shipped 2,000 plants to various locations in Spain, Portugal, and Hungary.
We have plenty of Vetiver in stock. Right now the soil is nice and damp and the weather is starting to heat up so it is the perfect time to plant.
We also have Lemon Grass, Moringa Seedlings and Organic Moringa Powder.
Moringa, also known as the “Miracle Tree”, has many nutritional and health benefits. If you have ever been to a Thai Restaurant you have probably had Lemon Grass.
Lemon Grass grows easily and quickly. Take a look at our website or go directly to the two links below. If you have any questions please contact us either by email or phone.

Please be careful about believing crisis info posts on Fakebook, Social Media and even mainline news sources: There are tons of hoaxes circulating. UK Coronavirus:

So You Thought All Those Covid Handouts Were Free?: Bank of Spain eyes tax hikes to offset soaring debt from Covid-19 crisis. The Bank of Spain on Tuesday recommended drafting a medium-term plan with adjustment measures to offset the high debt (“the highest in many decades”) that the coronavirus health crisis will be leaving behind.
The proposed fiscal adjustments, to be adopted at a later time, include raising taxes.
Spain demands non-repayable bailout grants from the EU, but expects it’s citizens to pay back any Covid assistance as loans. It sounds like a double standard to many and has caused a great rift in Spanish politics that were already in conflict over the Covid response. Conservative parties believe the Spanish Gov’t’s mishandling of the crisis to a large degree led to the financial difficulties in the first place. Planning to raise taxes while people are struggling to recover sounds counter productive to that recovery say critics.

Price Gouging- Google hikes YouTube TV price to $64.99: Alphabet Inc’s Google said on Tuesday that it has raised the price of its YouTube TV online service by 30% to $64.99 per month, citing rising cost of content. The price hike, effective from Tuesday, comes amid a surge in demand for online content as live events, movie theaters and sporting events remain closed or canceled due to coronavirus-led restrictions. Google in April 2019 raised the cost of its YouTube TV subscription by 25% to $49.99. Spain resorted to ‘gag law’ more than ever before during coronavirus lockdown: Within the first 75 days of confinement, the Interior Ministry issued nearly 1.1 million sanctions, up 42% from the amount handed out between 2015 and 2018.
The controversial legislation, approved by the Popular Party (PP) in 2015, was criticized from day one for impeding freedom of expression because it established fines for doing things like protesting in front of parliament or taking and sharing photographs of police officers. The opposition claimed it was a way to clamp down on the street protests taking place at the time against political corruption and mismanagement of the economic crisis.
But the “gag law” will turn five years old this Wednesday, and not only has it not been repealed or reformed, it has actually been used more than ever in recent times, under Sánchez’s administration. Countdown about to run out on Brexit negotiation extension possibility: It was agreed at the last extension that if by 12am CET (Central European time), on June 30 2020, a further extension had not been asked for then there could not be any extension whatsoever, and the negotiations would end on the 31 December 2020, regardless of whether a deal has been struck or not, and the UK would wake up on 1 January 2021 either completely free of all ties to the EU or with a deal in place. Outrage as New ‘Coronavirus’ Treatment Comes with a Hefty Price Tag of Up to Almost €4,000: Remdesivir is the drug created by the American pharmaceutical company Gilead, who announced that governments in developed countries could expect to pay $390 for a vial, which would equate to around €2,082 per patient and longer therapies could cost up to €3,818. Hospitals have been using this medication, which was donated by Gilead since May, but they will begin charging for their services in July. Remdesivir is the first drug approved by the European Medicine Agency as a Covid-19 remedy. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry back groups calling for a Fakebook boycott: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are backing the campaign #StopHateForProfit, which is calling for major companies to pull their advertising campaigns from Facebook until the social media giant takes action to stop the spread of so-called hate speech. Shares in the platform went crashing 8.3 percent to $216.08 by the closing bell last Friday – its lowest in three months – after more than 100 advertisers boycotted the firm for its failure to stop content perceived as hate speech and misinformation being posted on its platform. Brexit Hotline

The Spanish government has a hotline to answer all queries from Brits living in Spain about the implications of Brexit, in English. Callers can ring 060 when in Spain or +34 902 887060 if calling from abroad and an automated system will offer the choice of either Spanish or English.
You will then be offered a choice of information on the different issues.
