Christmas 2020 – We are returning to the Hotel Sirocco in Benalmadena on the 23rd – 27th December. Rates are as follows: €285 pp based on 2 sharing a double room, €370 single supplement. Deposit is €75 non refundable and must be paid on booking. The price includes Full Board Hotel Accommodation, Gala meal on Christmas Eve, Coach and tips for the driver and restaurant Staff.
We meet at La Vega bar and restaurant every Tuesday and you can find the bar just behind the Repsol garage on the way out of Torre towards Benajarafe. During the crisis are times are 11.30 until 1pm until further notice.
We are also collecting foodstuffs for the Spanish Red Cross on a weekly basis, so if you can add a couple of items to your weekly shop and bring it down to us, it would be very much appreciated. They really need baby food, baby milk, nappies and foodstuffs such as rice, flour and pasta.

The Google Cloud Is Not Secure!- A Google Drive ‘Feature’ Could Let Attackers Trick You Into Installing Malware: The latest security issue—of which Google is aware but, unfortunately, left unpatched—resides in the “manage versions” functionality offered by Google Drive that allows users to upload and manage different versions of a file, as well as in the way its interface provides a new version of the files to the users.
Logically, the manage versions functionally should allow Google Drive users to update an older version of a file with a new version having the same file extension, but it turns out that it’s not the case.
This allows users to upload a new version with any file extension for any existing file on the cloud storage, even with a malicious executable. This in turn allows malware files to be substituted for trusted legit files with the same name, only changing the file extension. Needless to say, the issue leaves the door open for highly effective spear-phishing campaigns that take advantage of the widespread prevalence of cloud services such as Google Drive to distribute malware. Unless you are very careful to confirm the file extension you could download what you believe to be your own trusted file, which then infects your device!

‘Morning people’ linked with higher risk of Alzheimer’s disease: Those at higher genetic risk of Alzheimer’s disease are more likely to call themselves a “morning person”, according to a study.
Researchers have also found that people who have a greater risk of developing the progressive condition are less likely to have insomnia.
