DoctorLaptop’s famous Annual Clean & TuneUp Service €60: For Windows & Mac. New “fileless” malware formats evade standard anti-virus programs, making it difficult for typical users to “dis-infect” computers themselves with free, consumer level tools. If you rely on your computer and want it running at peak performance an annual professional servicing with advanced professional grade tools is necessary. You wouldn’t drive your car till it runs out of oil before servicing it, would you? If you did, the engine replacement will cost far more than if you had properly maintained it with an oil change once or twice a year. It’s the same with computers, you should do a quick cleanup yourself once a month, and get an annual professional service. I do the most comprehensive cleaning and tune-up possible: verify all System files and permissions, replacing any found to be corrupt, test all hardware and do hard disk sector repairs if needed, use a 5 tool malware/adware/spyware removal protocol, clean out junk files/logs/history/etc., update Windows/Mac+all drivers+programs and finally optimize your settings and registry for fastest overall performance. Job usually completed overnight. Heavily infected comps or those showing error messages need a repair, not a maintenance service. Hard disks of 1000Gb or more add €10 and may require 2 days to complete.
ALSO: Business computer maintenance & security service, if you think you’ve been hacked, let me do the cleanup and recovery, and I can even track down the source. Free shopping service, send me your requirements, I’ll find you the best deals!
Windows, Apple/Mac, Linux and Android all serviced.

Recommendations & Requests
Interpreter: I have used Pamela Walshe, the medical interpreter, for many years. Even if there were never a language problem , it is wonderful to be taken care of in the hospital , i.e. being able to sit and relax and not having to worry about missing ones place in the queue etc.
Recently, there has been an illness in my family, during which the liaison regarding appointments and treatment has been critical. Pamela played an important role in the happy outcome and I, again, am so glad that she works in our neck of the woods.

Several Spanish regions announce new measures to curb coronavirus spread: Navarre, Catalonia and Andalucia say citizens should prepare for restrictions, while Madrid hopes to emerge from the state of alarm in 15 days. On Monday, Andalusian premier Juan Manuel Moreno announced that his government will approve “more restrictive measures” in Granada due to a spike in coronavirus cases.
Pedro Gullón, a member of the Spanish Epidemiology Society, explains the difference between perimeter confinements – like the ones introduced in Madrid – and restrictions on social activity.
“The goal of perimeter confinements is to prevent a high-incidence zone from extending the virus to the surrounding areas, while restrictions on capacity are trying to contain the epidemic within a zone,” he says. Boris Johnson unveils three-tier Covid restrictions for England: PM indicates that large parts of north could soon follow Liverpool into highest level of restrictions. Announcing the much-briefed new approach, which will divide local authorities into “local Covid alert levels”, listed as medium (tier 1), high (tier 2), and very high (tier 3), the prime minister told MPs he wanted to “simplify and standardise” rules while avoiding a new full lockdown. Read about the restrictions of each tier here: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/oct/12/boris-johnson-unveils-three-tier-covid-restrictions-for-england

Danes start culling 2.5 million minks after virus hits farms: Danish veterinarians and farmers have begun culling at least 2.5 million minks in northern Denmark, authorities said Monday, after coronavirus has been reported in at least 63 farms. The Danish Veterinary and Food Administration is handling the culling of the infected animals while breeders who have non-infected animals on a farm within 8 kilometers (5 miles) of an infected farm must put them to sleep themselves, said Flemming Kure Marker of the government agency. Microsoft Warns Android Users About A New Ransomware: Microsoft has warned about a new strain of mobile ransomware that takes advantage of incoming call notifications and Android’s Home button to lock the device behind a ransom note.
The findings concern a variant of a known Android ransomware family dubbed “MalLocker.B” which has now resurfaced with new techniques, including a novel means to deliver the ransom demand on infected devices as well as an obfuscation mechanism to evade security solutions.
No fix is available yet. All MS will say is, “MalLocker has been known for being hosted on malicious websites and circulated on online forums using various social engineering lures by masquerading as popular apps, cracked games, or video players.” Full article: https://thehackernews.com/2020/10/android-ransomware-lock.html#comment-box
5G Fails To Deliver For Most Consumers: 5G skeptics have often said that this new level of networking capacity is far more to benefit Big Tech and their “The Internet of Things” (IoT), and that typical users will only see small increases in internet speeds on their communications devices. They were right! 5G has 2 “bands”, high (5+ times faster than 4G) and low (slightly faster than 4G). Worldwide, most 5G infrastructure dedicated to consumer level services only supports the “low” 5G.
I previously covered in DigameXtra:
-the UK 5G situation, where only a few cities will be able to support true high-speed 5G to average users.
-Apple, who is introducing the new phone on Tuesday, will need to walk a tightrope between enticing consumers to upgrade their phones while not over-promising what 5G can do today. Apple phones can handle “high” 5G, but few people will be able to access it.
The real improvements in speed and capacity 5G can offer will be reserved for IoT industrial and gov’t services for the next few years, so they can build smart-cities, and do advanced “instant response” functions like control self driving cars, robots and drones, as well as put transmitters in every appliance, traffic light, doorbell, servellience camera, utility meter, etc.
Big Tech wants to track and constantly monitor EVERYTHING in real time. 5G will give them a significant base by connecting everything, 6G will allow it all to function in real time. See next article for 6G features.

What is 6G? : It’ll be like 5G, but more so. 6G speeds are projected to exceed 1Tb/s, (1000 Gb/s), with even lower latency, and masses of bandwidth. Researchers and scientists are talking about 6G going beyond a “wired” network, with devices acting as antennas using a decentralized network not under the control of a single network operator. If everything connects together using 5G, 6G will set these connected devices free, as higher data speeds and lower latency make instant device-to-device connection possible.
While the technology we expect to emerge from 5G, from autonomous cars and drones to smart cities, will be enhanced further with 6G, it may also bring about sci-fi applications like the integration of our brains with computers, and greatly improved touch control systems. NTT DoCoMo talks about 6G making it, “possible for cyberspace to support human thought and action in real time through wearable devices and micro-devices mounted on the human body.”
The report points toward the realm of science fiction becoming science fact, saying speeds in excess of 100Gbps could make possible sensory interfaces that feel and look just like real life, potentially through smart glasses or contact lenses. It goes on to talk about prioritizing low power consumption for over-the-air charging, and coverage that could be extended across the sea and even out into space. Brexit Hotline
The Spanish government has a hotline to answer all queries from Brits living in Spain about the implications of Brexit, in English. Callers can ring 060 when in Spain or +34 902 887060 if calling from abroad and an automated system will offer the choice of either Spanish or English.
You will then be offered a choice of information on the different issues.
The service also offers the option of speaking to an operator for those requiring further information or with a specific query not dealt with by the automated options. Source: https://www.thelocal.es/20200218/spain-launches-dedicated-brexit-hotline
