Andalusia advances the curfew at 10 p.m. and extends until 7 a.m.: {Translated from https://seville.abc.es} Updated 08/11/2020 17:33h
Andalusia will extend the curfew from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. , so it will last two hours longer than the current one.
This was announced by Moreno in an informative appearance after presiding in the Palacio de San Telmo the meeting of the Advisory Committee on High Impact Public Health Alerts to analyze the evolution of the pandemic in a day in which 3,755 positive cases and 20 deaths and the number of hospitalized has dropped for the second consecutive day to 3,151 while ICU admissions have risen to 455.
The Chairman of the Board has also communicated the decision to maintain the perimeter closure until November 23 of the community and continue with the schools and institutes open throughout Andalusia, while the university decides to implement the activity online except in the practices and experimentation.
The closure of all non-essential activity after 6 pm will be more demanding in the province of Granada, where the serious incidence of the pandemic forces the complete closure of all non-essential activity and Moreno has recommended that citizens «only leave for what strictly necesary”.
The previous decree maintained the limitation of night mobility with the “curfew” time between 11:00 pm and 6:00 am, already set in the state of alarm decree. Likewise, it was established that as of midnight, meetings in the public and private sphere were limited to a maximum of six people, except those groups that are living together.

Andalusia closes at six in the afternoon all non-essential activities from Tuesday, Granada all day: {Translated from https://seville.abc.es} Updated: 08/11/2020 19: 56h
Andalusia only has 30% of the hospital beds free, and in the eight days that go into the month of November, 315 people have died due to Covid, a serious and worrying situation that has led the President of the Board, Juanma Moreno, to announce very tough measures that will take effect at 12 o’clock tomorrow night, Monday and will apply until 23 November.
The main one is that all activities non-essential will have to close their doors at 6 in the afternoon, it is forbidden to leave the municipality of residence and the curfew is extended: no one may be on the streets between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. The perimeter closure of the Andalusian autonomous community is also maintained.
Classes in colleges and institutes will continue to be face-to-face , even in the afternoon shifts, but the university completely changes the scene. His classes will be only telematically although the practices and activities of the laboratories are maintained.
It is important to note that the Andalusian Government is studying what to do with the opposition to the Board called for next weekend. As explained by the president, they are looking for large enough spaces but, if they are not found, they would be postponed .
The situation is common for all of Andalusia except for Granada where the Junta has decreed the total closure of all non-essential activities. “The situation is especially delicate because it has a rate of 1,194 cases per hundred thousand inhabitants, higher than that registered by communities such as Navarra, Aragón or La Rioja, which are the ones in the worst conditions,” explained President Juanma Moreno who has made a special call to the people of Granada.
“I ask you to stay at home and only go out for what is strictly necessary because we have to cut this virus as quickly as possible.” In this sense, all social events are prohibited because there is “a serious danger from health stress that has never been experienced before.” Granada, together with Seville, are the provinces with the highest number of hospitalized.
The president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno , has decided and announced these new limitations after the meeting of the committee of experts convened this Sunday in the palace of San Telmo, in which the evolution of the data of the pandemic in the community. Andalusia is slightly above the Spanish average for infections .
Medical alert
From the General Directorate of Public Health and Pharmaceutical Management, a circular has been sent to the staff of Andalusian health centers in which it is urged to take extreme measures of social distancing, use of a mask and cleaning of hands, in addition to suppressing “any type of social encounter that derives from the professional and / or social activity even more within the managerial centers ». Doctors and nurses are recommended to have breakfast and lunch alone in the face of the “extreme situation” in which we find ourselves and which translates into a lethality very worrying of the pandemic. In November, 315 Andalusians died from coronavirus.

UK honors war dead in scaled-back Remembrance Sunday service: In a scaled-back service, Queen Elizabeth II led tributes Sunday to those from the U.K. and the Commonwealth who perished in wartime, as most veterans paid their respects at home as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
The public were unable to attend this year, with the event taking place during a second national lockdown in England, and were instead encouraged to take part in the two-minute silence at home.
In other years, the commemoration is packed with thousands of veterans and military personnel. In Sunday’s service, there were less than 30 veterans in attendance and everyone present observed social distancing rules though mask wearing wasn’t mandatory in the outdoor setting.
Though the service was very different, people up and down the land took time out to honor the war dead. Small services were permitted. PHOTO:Aaron Chown, Pool Photo via AP.
