Correcting flawed submissions: I only make corrections if received by the 6pm deadline the day the incorrect post is published. This is so it can be fixed in the following issue from when it appeared. People posting For Sale items should check their posts in new daily issues for accuracy. If you send an incorrect submission, or you forget to include the photos, please send in a new, full corrected submission and ask me to ignore the previous, incorrect submission. I am too busy to keep track of partial submissions in different emails and patch them together. Your cooperation is appreciated.

How to post more photos than the rules allow – use collages. You can combine several of your photos into a single collage photo by using this free online collage creation tool. It’s very easy to use, give it a try! https://www.photocollage.com/

What’s On

Tell them you saw it on DigameXtra! Tell your favourite establishments to post on DigameXtra to get next-day publicity!

All municipal boundaries in Andalucía closed on Tuesday, with curfew now from 10pm to 7am, and non-essential businesses shutting at 6pm.

Due to the new Covid restrictions, to avoid disappointment I suggest you call to confirm events and times before the event. -Ed.

Editor’s Note: Sorry, I am reluctant to post most new What’s On events. There have been many cancellations the last few days. There appears to be some confusion regarding the new Covid restrictions in the hospitality sector, and how they are being applied in each municipality. I’ve also heard of difficulty for musicians moving between municipalities (see post below). I had 3 cancellations today, just hours after they were submitted, all due to “new rule” enforcement.
If you are a venue, restaurant or band, and you are reasonably sure you have a show/event happening within a week, I will post those. But for now, with the spectre of stricter Covid regulations on the horizon (see second article in today’s News Section), I see no point in posting events more than a week in advance. We will know more about the Covid & Curfew situation by Nov 23. DigameXtra Sponsors may ignore this.

CANCELLED: Liquid Lunch gig at Chiringuito, Caleta de Velez-Malaga, Sat Nov 14th.
Due to the new movement restrictions. we have had to cancel this show. That’s twice this year, it could be said we are slightly miffed. Stay safe everyone.

Recommendations & Requests

Recommendation for Tony Roam: It is a red letter day when I collect my parcels from Tony. He runs a great service where parcels are delivered to his UK address, he brings them over and we collect from him. These come from many sources, family, specialist companies, Amazon Ebay etc. Of course our first priority is to support local businesses especially at this time but what we need is sometimes not available. Sadly also we have had incidents of lost postal parcels. Tony’s service is regular prompt and efficient and he’s always cheerful and pleasant. The small charge for this excellent service is well worth it. I’m sure his efficiency is a good indicator that if you take trouble over the small things then you will give great service over the big ones. Sandra, Nerja.

Recommendation needed: Reliable person to help in garden, ground clearance. Heavy weeding, strimming etc. Approx 10 hours work. All tools provided. Nerja area. Sandra

Spain will require a negative PCR test from travelers coming from more than 60 countries: The measure goes into effect on November 23 and affects residents from most European Union member states. This will not be required of people coming in through land borders, only those travelers coming by sea or air. A full list of countries involved can be found in the source article:

Andalucian president Juanma Moreno considering full Lockdown for Andalucia: “In Andalucia, we continue to carry responsibility and wear and tear on our back, but to make certain decisions we have to have all the instruments,” Moreno emphasised before adding that, even understanding that he cannot have command of the forces and bodies of State security, he does consider that it should be enabled to modify the curfew to before 10pm or further tighten the limit of exits from home to the top of confinement. WARNING- Spanish police issue warning over charity worker thieves: The Policia Nacional has warned of scammers operating throughout Spain posing as NGO charity workers. Officials report that the thieves put a little gel sanitizer on your hands and ask you to smell the product. The hand sanitizer is actually a drug which renders people unconscious; once they regain consciousness, they find that they have been robbed. Sweden and Germany removed from England’s travel corridors:
This means anyone travelling into the UK from either of these countries will need to self-isolate. In an announcement made by transport minister Grant Shapps, no other countries were added to the list. Shapps tweeted: “We are removing Sweden and Germany from the Travel Corridor list. From 4am Saturday 7th November, if you arrive into the UK from these destinations you will need to self-isolate. All arriving passengers should complete a passenger locator form on arrival.” Full article: https://www.euroweeklynews.com/2020/11/05/sweden-and-germany-removed-from-englands-travel-corridors/

New device puts music in your head — no headphones required: That’s the possibility presented by “sound beaming,” a new futuristic audio technology from Noveto Systems, an Israeli company. On Friday it will debut a desktop device that beams sound directly to a listener without the need for headphones. The listening sensation is straight out of a sci-fi movie. The 3-D sound is so close it feels like it’s inside your ears while also in front, above and behind them.
The lack of headphones means it’s possible to hear other sounds in the room clearly.
The technology uses a 3-D sensing module and locates and tracks the ear position sending audio via ultrasonic waves to create sound pockets by the user’s ears. Sound can be heard in stereo or a spatial 3-D mode that creates 360 degree sound around the listener, the company said.
While the concept of sound beaming is not new, Noveto was the first to launch the technology and their SoundBeamer 1.0 desktop device will be the first branded consumer product.
