Andalucía’s Covid-19 incidence rate drops for the second day:
-A total of 4,496 new cases of coronavirus infections have been reported in Andalucía this Thursday, 5 August, higher than the 3,655 of the day before and slightly lower than the 4,893 of seven days ago, according to official data.
-The Institute of Statistics and Cartography of Andalucía (IECA), has also counted 15 deaths, the same as on Wednesday and higher than the 13 deaths last Thursday. As for the 15 deaths, six were registered in Malaga, four in Almeria, two each in Seville and Cordoba, and one in Granada.

-Regarding health pressure, there has been a drop in the number of hospitalised patients to a total of 1,327, nine fewer in 24 hours but 158 more than seven days ago, while the number of patients in an intensive care unit has risen to 254, some 16 more in a day and 50 more in a week. Environmental health experts warn of ‘explosion’ of tick numbers in Spain: In Spain, up to twenty species of ticks have been detected, “some of which can transmit serious diseases such as Crimean-Congo haemorrhagic fever, Lyme disease or viral encephalitis,” the association warns (National Association of Environmental Health Companies (Anecpla)).
Ticks thrive mainly in fields, in areas with vegetation and animals, but can also be found in parks, gardens, swimming pools and even on the beach.

-The Axarquia region will remain for another week at Health Alert Level 3 for covid-19, as will the rest of the province of Malaga.
-Thus, the two health districts to which the 31 villages of the Axarquia region belong, will remain in this level 3 health alert as they have experienced a slight increase in their Covid incidence rates in the last seven days. The Axarquia health district has increased this rate from 582.8 cases last Wednesday to 597.7. In this district, Alcaucín (1,930.7), Colmenar (1,026.7) and Sayalonga (1,148.0) have the highest COVID rate. The municipalities with a zero rate in two weeks are Arenas, Canillas de Aceituno, Comares, Cútar and Salares.

Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts, 80, pulls out of band’s US tour after undergoing emergency surgery in London: Watts, 80, underwent a ‘successful procedure’ in London after a routine check-up highlighted a problem, according to reports.
But on the advice of doctors, Watts announced he would sit out the band’s shows for ‘rest and recuperation’ – the first time he has missed a tour since 1963.

El Puente Christian Fellowship – Sunday Service
