Our Nursery is open by appointment depending on the current travel restrictions. Please email or call first. We have Moringa seedlings, Organic Moringa powder and Comfrey plants. We also have some local trees and some exotic trees from Africa.
Vetiver is a rapid growing and non-invasive sterile clump grass with a height of 1-2 metres and a root system of 3-4 metres in depth. We have been providing Vetiver throughout the EU for almost 10 years now. We are located in Sayalonga where we can plant year round but our best results by far start in February. The reason is that Vetiver is indigenous to India and Vetiver loves the heat of the summer. Use Vetiver cuttings as mulch around all of your fruit trees. Decomposing Vetiver improves soil quality, keeps the weeds down and the insects away all while helping to maintain soil moisture.
Vetiver is a nutritious and replenishable animal fodder. Horses and pigs love it. We use it in our chicken pens replacing hay because it stops mites.
In the 2 photos below you will see land prepared for Vetiver and the results 2 years later.
We also use Vetiver along driveways and sidewalks. It also makes a great and inexpensive ornamental hedge.

The British Medical Journal- How did the Pfizer vaccine get US-FDA approval in less than two years?:
-The U.S. Food and Drug Administration fully approved the first COVID-19 vaccine on Monday. Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine, which will be marketed as Comirnaty, is now available for people over 16 without emergency use authorization (EUA).
-Kim Witczak, a drug safety advocate who serves as a consumer representative on the FDA’s Psychopharmacologic Drugs Advisory Committee, said the decision removed an important mechanism (a data review meeting) for scrutinizing the data.
-Witczak is one of the more than 30 signatories of a citizen petition calling on the FDA to refrain from fully approving any covid-19 vaccine this year to gather more data. She warned that without a meeting “we have no idea what the data looks like.”
“It is already concerning that full approval is being based on 6 months’ worth of data despite the clinical trials designed for two years,” she said.
-She continued, “There is no control group after Pfizer offered the product to placebo participants before the trials were completed! Full approval of covid-19 vaccines must be done in an open public forum for all to see. Brits with EU partners warned over future problems returning to the UK: While most Brits living abroad have managed to secure their residency rights since Brexit, they could face a whole different set of problems if they ever want to return to the UK and take their spouse or partner with them. Despite assurances given by the British government, the citizens’ rights campaign group British in Europe is warning that it is already seeing problems with the system, despite the deadline still being six months away.
Since the end of the Brexit transition period, EU nationals who want to move to the UK face a tough immigration process which has strict requirements including a minimum level of English and financial requirements. Simply being married or in a civil partnership with a UK national does not remove these obligations.

Australian Michael Storer wins the La Vuelta stage in Rincón: The Slovenian rider Primoz Roglic lost the La Vuelta cycle race leader’s red jersey after suffering a fall on the 10th stage, that ended in Rincón de la Victoria this Tuesday afternoon, 24 August.
The winner of the stage was the Australian Michael Storer (DSM) after escaping from the group that made up the break of the day, achieving his second stage victory in this year’s Vuelta.

Charlie Watts, the Rolling Stones’ Drummer and Inimitable Backbone, Dead at 80: Watts’ death comes several weeks after it was announced that the drummer would not be able to perform on the Rolling Stones’ No Filter Tour of U.S. stadiums.
Watts’ publicist confirmed his death in a statement. “It is with immense sadness that we announce the death of our beloved Charlie Watts,” it read. “He passed away peacefully in a London hospital earlier [Tuesday] surrounded by his family.” The statement referred to Watts as “one of the greatest drummers of his generation” and closed by requesting that “the privacy of his family, band members, and close friends is respected at this difficult time.”
