In A fuego suave their most famous songs are performed at lower revolutions with a different sound perspective and Afro-Cuban, border rock, funk-jazz, samba, Afrobeat, and cumbia rhythms.

Bank charges keep on rising and some customers now pay €240 a year just to have an account: Some banks are charging their customers up to 240 euros a year – in other words 20 euros a month – just for having an account with them. The commissions for the most basic financial services keep going up and the conditions demanded by some banks to exempt their clients from these charges are increasingly severe. This is the way the banking sector has decided to increase its own income in a scenario of negative interest rates and it is determined to squeeze the most out of it.
In the first six months of this year all the big banks increased their earnings from commissions, as they themselves reveal in their results announcements. The five biggest banks in the country alone earned more than 10 billion euros just through charges and commissions. Largest rose greenhouse in Europe trades red roses for medicinal cannabis: The municipality of Garray (Soria) in Spain could boast until recently that it hosted “the largest rose greenhouse in Europe.” However, the company that owned it, Aleia Roses, went into liquidation. Although at first, the new owners wanted to make roses compatible with other crops, between February and April this year it decided to uproot the rose bushes altogether to focus on “the new project”, medicinal cannabis.
In August 2021, the company got the go-ahead when it received a license from the Spanish Medicines Agency (AEMPS) to cultivate three hectares of land and produce medical cannabis. “Using all the space for cannabis cultivation could mean doubling all of Europe’s production,” said Lamata.

Almáchar to experience another “Ajoblanco” without tastings: {Translation} For the second consecutive year, the oldest gastronomic festival in the region will not be held, although on this occasion there will be some on-site activities.
-The first Saturday in September has had the flavour of ajoblanco for more than half a century. Thousands of litres of this delicious cold broth of Arabic origin, made from almonds and garlic, were distributed during the day, accompanied by muscatel grapes and other local products such as wine and sultanas. But for the second year running, this traditional tasting will not be able to take place due to health reasons.
-The Almáchar Town Hall wants to keep alive this festival, declared of Tourist Interest by the Provincial Council of Malaga, with a nod to previous editions, reflected in a new virtual program, but this year will also feature some activities such as the Flamenco Night, which to be carried out in compliance with all security measures, prior registration will be required to attend.
-It will also be necessary to register to take part in the demonstration that the chef Roberto Soler will offer in the María Zambrano Park to teach how to make the traditional recipe in a more innovative way. Torrox extends the guided tours of the Centre of Interpretation of the Lighthouse until the 8th of September: {Translation}
Torrox Town Hall has announced this Saturday that the guided tours to the Archaeological Ensemble Interpretation Centre of the Lighthouse of Torrox Costa have been a total success this summer. For this reason, the Consistory has decided to extend the period of visits for the next two weeks. All those interested will be able to do so on 31 August and 1, 7 and 8 September, i.e. Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 21.30 hours.
It will be necessary to book a place in advance at the centre itself, by calling 952 53 85 25 or by emailing cifaro@torrox.es. Places will be limited and following all health recommendations.

Eric Clapton Seemingly Addresses COVID-19 Policies in New Protest Song ‘This Has Gotta Stop’:
-On Friday (Aug. 27), the 76-year-old legendary musician — who previously said he refuses to play live shows that require attendees to prove they’ve been vaccinated — dropped the politically-charged new song “This Has Gotta Stop.”
Lyrics- “This has gotta stop, enough is enough/ I can’t take this BS any longer/ It’s gone far enough, you wanna claim my soul/ You’ll have to come and break down this door,” he sings in the opening lines of the bluesy track.
-In the accompanying animated music video, faceless figures gather in protest holding signs emblazoned with such messages as “Liberty,” “Enough is Enough” and “Stop.” Elsewhere, the clip features socially charged references to the over consumption of media and concerns about climate change. Microsoft is threatening to withhold Windows 11 updates if your computer’s CPU is older than mid 2017:
-Previously we wrote how Microsoft’s Windows 11 won’t technically leave millions of PCs behind — the company told us it won’t actually block you from installing Windows 11 on a PC with an older CPU, so long as you download and manually install a Windows 11 system installer ISO file all by yourself. But it turns out even that technicality has a technicality. Microsoft is now threatening to withhold Windows Updates from your copy of Windows 11 — potentially even security updates — if you take that route.
-We’re not sure why the company didn’t mention it in our original briefing, but Microsoft has since told The Verge that unsupported PCs won’t be entitled to receive Windows Updates, and that even security and driver updates may be withheld. It’s not just security updates at stake, by the way. If you’re unwilling or unable to replace your older-than-Intel 8th-Gen-CPU (2017), Windows 11 could theoretically be an operating system where you go back to the days of manually downloading driver updates for all your hardware.
(This same thing happened when Win 10 was released. There were some compatibility issues for the first year, but to Microsofts credit, after that Win 10 became very friendly to older computers. Will it be the same with Win 11? I doubt it. Remember, I have previously covered here how Microsoft plans on making Windows a subscription service, like they have done with MS Office 365, beginning in some form in 2023, to establish a “flow of income” from each user rather than make one-off sales. Not to worry, Win 10 is supported until October 14, 2025. Any computer you now use that is pre 2017 will be ready to be replaced by late 2025. -Ed.)
