Covid Andalucia- Andalusia out of the extreme risk after a month and 20 days: {Translation, summary} Updated: 30/08/2021, 12:54
– Andalusia recorded a total of 1,359 infections on Monday 30 August, 155 fewer than the previous day (48 hours) and 1,018 fewer than those reported seven days ago, according to data provided today by the Ministry of Health and Families, which recorded nine deaths, ten fewer than on Saturday and four fewer than a week ago.
-As for the nine deaths recorded in the last 48 hours, there are four in Malaga, two in Seville and Cordoba and one in Cadiz. Almería, Granada, Jaén and Huelva are the provinces with no deaths due to coronavirus.
-The cumulative incidence rate of the community continues to fall and stands at 237.8, so it leaves the level of “extreme risk” – which stands at 250 cases per 100,000 inhabitants – and is 16.7 points lower than the previous day (48 hours) and 100.6 than a week ago when the rate was 338.4. It is also the lowest since July 8 when it stood at 224.7.
-By provinces, Seville continues once again to have the most cases with 469 positives, followed by Malaga with 267, Jaen with 117, Huelva with 116, Cordoba with 109, Cadiz with 100, Almeria with 99 and Granada with 82. Moreno hopes to “open up” the tap of Covid restrictions more as of tomorrow: {Translation, summary} Updated: 30Aug21 7:52pm
-The president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, is cautious about the evolution of the pandemic but confident that the restrictions to combat the coronavirus will be relaxed. “I want to be optimistic and I hope, wish and trust that tomorrow, when we meet with the committee of experts, who are the ones who have to practically authorise this possibility, we can continue to open up spaces for the economy, for life and, in short, for normality,” he stressed on Monday. “Where the epidemiological situation is improving, the levels go down; when we lower the levels, we extend the limits and, therefore, there is more room for individual freedom and economic activity,” he explained.
-The Andalusian president did not want to “advance anything” about this possible relaxation of the restrictions, coinciding with the end of the August holidays and the resumption of the political year, until “tomorrow the appropriate reports arrive” on the accumulated incidence in the last 14 days (237.8 at present), hospital admissions and admissions to the ICU.
Clearer horizonore than a month to get the vaccine,” he insisted. Source, Spanish: https://sevilla.abc.es/andalucia/sevi-juanma-moreno-confia-abrir-mas-grifo-restricciones-covid-partir-manana-202108301312_noticia.html

Electricity prices break all records in August: almost 200% more expensive than in 2020: {Translation}
– The price of electricity on the wholesale market has broken all records in our country in August. With an average price of 105.94 euros per megawatt hour (MWh), it became the most expensive month in our history.
-Moreover, the month ends on a high note, with a new all-time high: 130.53 euros per MWh. It will be the second most expensive price in Europe, after Greece (130.64 euros).
-The August figure is 14.64% more expensive than that of July which, at 92.41 euros, was the current record. It is also 192.73% higher than August 2020 (36.19 euros per MWh). The average for the first eight months of this year is 68.48 euros, 123% higher than the same period last year (30.72 euros).
-In 24 of the 31 days of this month, the average electricity price has been above 100 euros per MWh. The forecasts of the experts, the government and the electricity companies are that it will remain at this level until at least the end of the year.
-Experts say the prices have been pushed up by a rise in energy demand during a very hot summer and also a decrease in wind-generated power – due to the lack of wind – on top of price increases for gas and CO2 emissions.
-The consumers most affected by the increase in electricity prices in the wholesale market are the almost 11 million domestic customers who have the regulated tariff or pvpc, the most volatile in our neighbouring countries. The rest of consumers have annual contracts with retailers.
-The cost of electricity accounts for approximately 35% of the total electricity bill, 32% are charges (premiums for renewables, tariff deficit, etc.), 22% are tolls (transmission and distribution costs) and 10% are taxes. CSIF warns of poor maintenance of SAS ambulances in Axarquia: {Translation}
-The Central Independent Trade Union and Civil Servants, CSIF, in Malaga, warns of the poor maintenance of the Andalusian Health Service (SAS) medical transport vehicles by ASM Ambulancias, the company in charge of it, in the Axarquia health area, after the advanced life support unit in Velez-Malaga burnt down on Monday.
-Fortunately, all the occupants of the vehicle at the time of the incident – a medical emergency technician, a doctor and a nurse – were able to leave the vehicle before it caught fire. However, CSIF believes that this incident, which has put workers and users at significant risk, could have been avoided if ASM had carried out proper maintenance work on the ambulances.
-As far as this union has been able to learn, the workers themselves, both health emergency technicians and medical staff of the health centre of the municipality, have complained several times in the last ten days to the company to check the condition of the burned ambulance, after detecting various problems and malfunctions, without ASM has taken any action. In addition, CSIF has been warning for years about the lack of maintenance by the company, and has repeatedly reported the poor condition of the vehicles, both to ASM officials in Malaga and to the SAS, calling for urgent action to ensure the safety of workers and users.
-More than a year ago, in March 2020, the union took the medical transport company to the Labour Inspectorate for the poor maintenance of the vehicles, denouncing that the ambulances used in the Axarquia health area for the transfer of patients were not subject to any type of review, with the consequent risk to workers and patients.
-The lack of maintenance was evident in the state of the tyres of some ambulances, as well as in the interior of the vehicles, where some of the elements with which the ambulances are equipped, such as oxygen cylinders, were fastened with a simple crepe bandage.
-This union denounces that, more than a year later, this problem has not been solved, and continues to represent a major risk factor for the safety and health of the workers involved, as well as for the patients transferred in these vehicles.
-For all these reasons, CSIF has once again called for a review of the state of the ambulances assigned to the Axarquia health area, and for the necessary actions to be taken to guarantee safe conditions. For this union, which does not rule out any action, it is unacceptable that both the company awarded the contract and the administration, who are aware of these breaches, allow the service to be provided in these conditions, compromising the health and safety of all those involved. These seismic movements are added to the series of earthquakes detected in recent months in the southern area of ??the Alboran Sea, which between April 17 and August 12 registered about 1,500 earthquakes of varying intensity, some of which were felt in Melilla, Almería, Granada or Malaga and are likely to continue throughout the year.

EUROPE
EU takes US off safe travel list; backs travel restrictions: The European Union recommended Monday that its 27 nations reinstate restrictions on tourists from the U.S. because of rising coronavirus infections there, but member countries will keep the option of allowing fully vaccinated U.S. travelers in.
-The decision by the European Council to remove the U.S. from a safe list of countries for nonessential travel reverses the advice that it gave in June, when the bloc recommended lifting restrictions on all U.S. travelers before the summer tourism season.
-The guidance issued Monday is nonbinding, however. American tourists should expect a mishmash of travel rules across the continent since the EU has no unified COVID-19 tourism policy and national EU governments have the authority to decide whether or how they keep their borders open during the pandemic. Also, lot 21,166 of the Electrolytes Tables “Ecosize” lemon flavoured bars with 20 bars inside and lot 21,167 of the same product packed with ten bars.
-However, this notice does not only affect the bars supplied by Aptonia. Specifically of lot 21,182, which was sold in the market until last August 12.

New Fakebook Alternative- Washington state based “DENREI” Uses Email to Create Secure New Platform That Eliminates the Need for “Risky” Apps:
-Broadcast directly from your email client only to people you have invited to follow your posts. Only receive posts from people you have followed.
-Only members can reply to DENREI exclusive emails.
-Send & receive comments on posts privately.
-Nowadays social media includes Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and so on. These media applications are used by so-called big techs to collect and sell personal information and advertisements. In addition, recently there have been problems with censorship depending on what is posted. We don’t think it’s right that the free communication space of the Internet is being regulated. We believe that there should be social media that respects the freedom of speech, the freedom to listen and the freedom not to listen. Also, many of today’s social media have the problem of distributing information not only to corporations but also to governments. This is because social media is all operated within the world of web and apps.
-We thought that many of these problems could be solved by using the medium of email instead of the web or web applications. Needless to say, email is a privacy-protected medium. If a third party wants to see the contents of an email, it needs a warrant.
-DENREI Social requires all users to have an @DENREI.COM email address. And while you are free to send and receive email between @DENREI.COM users, you are not allowed to send to or receive email from external email addresses. Each user has his or her own mailing list to which @DENREI.COM will broadcast your posts to by e-mail, and their own dashboard to do account and follower management.
