The SEPE’s announcement explains how to collect the 463 euro unemployment subsidy for 21 months if you have worked less than a year: {Translation}
– This benefit from the State Public Employment Service (SEPE) is known as insufficient contributions and is intended for unemployed people who have not accumulated the year’s worth of contributions. To qualify for this subsidy for 21 months it is also necessary to meet other requirements that we will see below. -Finally, it is important to know that the duration of the benefit depends on two variables: the previous contribution and the existence, or not, of family responsibilities:
-The benefit will last 3, 4 or 5 months, if you have contributed 3, 4 or 5 months, respectively.
-People who do not have family responsibilities can receive it for a maximum of six months if they have contributed for at least six months.
-And if they have family responsibilities, the benefit will last for 21 months, if they have paid contributions for 6 months or more (in this case, the right will be recognised for six months, and can be extended for periods of 6 months until its final duration).
