ANDALUCIA
Is “Submission Chemistry” a new threat for the party crowd & Seniors?:
{Editor’s preface to next article}
So new it is not in Google search yet, however, in the Spanish Press, they are raising the alarm. It involves a victim who is injected with a dose of a substance, usually while out clubbing, to lower their inhabitations and alter their decision making, making them vulnerable to attackers with bad intent. Financial coercion of Seniors is another scenario reported.
While plying someone with alcohol has happened since man discovered fermented grape juice, this latest trend of people being injected while out clubbing is a new twist. And so far, no specific substance has been identified in tests of alleged victims. I posted the rather long, translated article in full, as the other articles on this topic I found, in English, were lacking. This comprehensive article from malagahoy.es has the latest info, focused on our region.
Three cases of alleged chemical subjugation by needle pricks investigated in Malaga: {Translation} 04 August, 2022 16:48
– There are now three alleged cases of chemical submission by injection being investigated in Malaga. In total, the Andalusian Health Service (SAS) is studying 16 cases in the whole autonomous community. They are unconfirmed and awaiting toxicological tests. The Regional Ministry of Health and Consumer Affairs has assured that for these tests, the samples are extracted in hospitals and sent to the National Institute of Toxicology, and it is the Institute of Legal Medicine which is in charge of these tests.
– The victims of these complaints went to different health centres in the capital after detecting punctures in their bodies and fearing that they had been injected with a chemical substance.
– In Andalusia, the SAS is investigating a total of 16 cases of alleged chemical subjection by injection, seven of which have occurred in Huelva, three in Malaga and Cadiz respectively, two in Almeria and one in Cordoba. It should be noted that all are under suspicion and none have been confirmed.
– The first possible case in Malaga of chemical subjection by injection that the National Police are investigating occurred on 8 July and the victim is a 22 year old French tourist. The young woman was partying in a discotheque in the capital and when she left she was with a foreign boy she had met inside. They both went to the young woman’s flat. The next morning, she woke up dizzy and noticed two inoculation points on her arms, according to what she told the officers. The alleged perpetrator has not been identified and laboratory results, which are still pending, will determine whether the girl was injected with a chemical substance. The effects of this analysis may take four to five weeks.
– Having observed this increase in the number of cases of possible chemical subjection by injection, Malaga City Council and other administrations have drawn up a protocol to prevent this type of aggression during the fair. This is similar to the one used for sexual assaults or other chemical submissions.
– The National Police will have a team from the Unit of Attention to Families and Women (UFAM) available 24 hours a day. In addition, both the Local Police and the people in charge of the stalls will be vigilant in following the protocol. Likewise, the medical services of the Cortijo de Cortes will be ready to attend to possible victims of these chemical submissions and transfer them to the Maternity Hospital to identify the injected substance and treat the victim if necessary.
– On the other hand, the Malaga nightlife employers assure that the workers will be fully informed of the protocol to be followed in case this happens in their premises. In this sense, when the victim notifies security or the person who is with them of the injection, “they will be accompanied and attended at all times until the police come to the premises”, according to Juan Rambla, president of Andalucía de Noche, told Málaga Hoy.
– This newspaper already reported, just a few weeks ago, that complaints of chemical submission in Malaga are growing and that the most affected profiles are young women and the elderly. Among the former, the crime is of a sexual nature and among the latter of an economic nature.
– According to data from the Clinico, 12 sexual assaults on women have been attended to in this hospital from January to June of this year. Five of them, between 20 and 45 years of age, involved chemical submission. In addition, during the same period they also attended to 4 other patients who had been chemically subdued in order to rob them. NERJA
Chanquete World concert in Nerja postponed for another year: {Translation}
– For this year the date of 13 August had been announced, which had provoked numerous complaints and criticisms on social networks. In fact, the abundant programming of events in these months of July and August, which also coincide on that day with fairs such as those of the capital, El Morche or Almuñécar, could also be behind the causes behind this suspension.
– In the communiqué, the organisers say that they will “soon” announce the new date and the artists who will be there. “All tickets purchased so far will, of course, be valid for the 2023 edition. The organisation also announces that as of Thursday, those who bought tickets will receive an email in the same email in which they made the purchase with the options to manage the tickets, with a period of 14 days to do so. If they do not receive it, from Friday 5th, they can write to chanquete@ayudaeventosandalucia.zendesk.com requesting the return of their tickets. Infoca declares Sierra de Mijas forest fire extinguished, some twenty days after it started: At the height of the blaze, which started in Mijas but swept to Alhaurín el Grande, some 2,000 homes were evacuated. It was one of the largest forest fires, so far, in Andalucía this summer and its evolution kept the municipalities of Mijas, Alhaurín de la Torre and especially Alhaurín el Grande on edge, as the flames were fueled by dry vegetation, high temperatures and the easterly wind. Munich’s Oktoberfest finally back on after pandemic pause:
– Germany’s annual Oktoberfest festival is finally on again for this fall, following a two-year hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic, the head of the famous Bavarian beer festival said Thursday.
– “The Wiesn will take place,” Clemens Baumgaertner told reporters in Munich using the locals’ Bavarian colloquialism for the Oktoberfest which is referring to the big lawn, or Wiese, where the boozy celebrations are taking place. He said said the popular beer festival in the Bavarian capital will be held without any pandemic restrictions from Sept. 17 to Oct. 3 – Germany’s national day. Photo: AP/M.Schrader. Inflation cuts the income of Spaniards twice as much as that of Germans or French: The OECD warns that the rise in prices is affecting family economies, with a 1.2% drop in per capita income in the G7 countries, but 4.1% in Spain!
– What has been happening for several months is that the increase in consumer prices is “undermining” household income, details the OECD. In the average of the G7 countries, income per inhabitant fell by 1.2%. Among these economies, the impact of inflation on families in the first quarter was particularly high in France, where per capita income fell 1.9%, and in Germany, where it fell 1.7%.
– But these figures have no comparison with those of Spain, where high inflation has contributed to a large drop in per capita income of citizens, specifically 4.1%, four times more than the OECD and G7 average. The only European country that exceeds Spain is Austria, with a decrease of 5.5%. Months into war, Ukraine refugees slow to join EU workforce:
Some 6.5 million Ukrainians, have entered the EU since February, according to Frontex, the EU Border and Coast Guard Agency, streaming into neighboring countries before many moved on to more prosperous nations in the West. Around half have since returned to Ukraine. Only a relatively small number of those who stayed had entered the EU labor market by mid-June, according to the European Commission. ENERGY CRISIS
The UN calls the “excessive profits” of energy companies “immoral”:
– “It is immoral that oil and gas companies are making record profits from this energy crisis at the expense of the poorest people and communities and at enormous cost to the climate… I urge all governments to tax these excess profits and use the funds to support the most vulnerable people in these difficult times“, Mr. Guterres, Secretary General of the United Nations, said this Wednesday at a conference held at the United Nations headquarters.
– For this reason, he has recommended “people around the world” to send “a clear message” to the fossil fuel industry and its financiers, warning them that “this grotesque greed is punishing the poorest and most vulnerable people, while destroying our only common home, the planet”. SPACE
Earth sets record for the shortest day: Scientists have recorded Earth’s shortest day since its rotational period began to be recorded with highly precise atomic clocks. On June 29, 2022, Earth’s spin was completed in 1.59 milliseconds under 24 hours.
Scientists have several ideas regarding what could be causing Earth to suddenly begin speeding up its rotation and shortening its days. These ideas can involve processes in the planet’s inner or outer layers, oceans, tides, or even its climate. Full article: https://www.space.com/earth-rotation-record-shortest-day
