The Ruta del Espeto: Organised by SUR’s Málaga en la Mesa, is a chance to sample the local sardines cooked in this traditional way and started on Friday 31 July, ending on Sunday 16 August. During this time, participating restaurants will offer their espetos (made up of a minimum of 5 sardines) accompanied by a drink, for a price of between 4 and 7 euros, and customers will be able to rate them with marks of 0 to 10 points through the competition website. To register you must be over 18 years old and can only cast one vote per establishment in the competition. Participants will be entered into a draw to win a voucher worth 50 euros which can be spent in any of the designated restaurants.

Schedule of the Seville Flamenco Biennial 2020: It will be held from September 5 to October 4, although, as a preliminary, during the weekends of the month of August, a cycle will take place in the Monastery of San Jerónimo. It will have fifty-one shows, seven different stages and will host various proposals dedicated to singing, dancing, guitar and other instruments that have recently been incorporated into this art by some of the leading figures in flamenco. This is, day by day, work by work, the programming of the XXI edition of the Seville Flamenco Biennial.

The festival, after this previous cycle in the Monastery of San Jerónimo, opens with the Andalusian Flamenco Ballet, whose director is Úrsula López, celebrating its 25 years of history. He does this by featuring dance routines of teachers who passed through the company: Mario Maya, Manolo Marín, Javier Latorre, José Antonio Ruiz, Cristina Hoyos, Rubén Olmo, Álvaro Paños and Úrsula López herself.

Thanks to everyone who answered my request for help with Amazon returns: I want to thank Ron & Margaret who provided me instructions for having the return picked up at my door, which was done this morning. I am pleasantly suprised at how easy it was. I submitted the return on Friday, it was picked up Monday morning. Here are the tricks to get Amazon returns picked up from your door. After you click the RETURN button it only appears to offer two options, take it to Celeris or take it to Correos. BUT if you look closely you will find “see other options”, click on that and it offers you the pickup option. NOTE: If you have already initiated the return and have choosen Celeris or Correos, you will need to first cancel that return. Malaga Airport Delays: Spain’s Malaga airport on the Costa del Sol announces security delays and advises that all travellers turn up at least 3 hours before planned flights. Supposedly they are sending text messages to customers to inform them of delays, however some passengers are reporting not having been contacted directly. Ex-King Exiles Himself After Suffering Corruption Scandal: A series of corrupt actions have come to light over the past few months, bringing with it reputational damage to the monarchy in Spain. The former king expressed his decision to move in a statement which was issued today, Monday.
He was recently shown to be involved in a high-speed rail contract in Saudi Arabia for which he received a $100 million from the late Saudi King. Furthermore, he was involved in an affair where his mistress received $65 million, which led to his abdication in 2014.
Jordi Sanchez, one of several separatist Catalan leaders jailed for their role in the region’s failed independence bid in 2017, said he remained incarcerated on the grounds that he was a flight risk. He called on the High Court to withhold the former king’s passport. “Where is justice in Spain?,” he tweeted.
