Moonette Aromatic Skincare for 40+
*We are a Torrox based company specializing in the creation of formulas which help prevent premature skin ageing*
As our skin is the first layer of our defence against microbial infections, ultraviolet radiation and environmental contamination it plays a vital role in our lives. As we grow older however, our skin will become thinner, more sensitive, less firm and require the use of treatments containing specific ingredients to the care of treating mature skin.
Recognizing this need we have created a range of formulas which help reduce the appearance of the signs of ageing by smoothing fine lines and wrinkles, and also by eliminating blemishes and imperfection.
At Moonette, we are passionate about health, beauty and plants. Your skin will benefit from the properties of botanic essential oils combined with a selection of nutrients for deep hydration and cell revitalization, all sourced from the finest natural ingredients.
Naturally, we care about our planet and feel the need to help reduce the sheer volumes of plastics waste that are generated daily around the globe. Presently, we are minimizing the usage of plastic materials in our production while seeking alternative forms of packaging. To help reduce pollution we are asking all customers to recycle or reuse their Moonette skincare containers, and offering:
* A discount on future purchases to clients recycling containers
Free testers of eye cream, face cream, and body cream are available on request. You can also try out testers in 2 beauty salons in Torre del Mar and Puente Don Manuel (Alcaucin).

Bananas: I apologise if I’m teaching old dogs new tricks, but I’m an old dog, and never new this. In fact I was always told that you cannot put bananas in your fridge, because they’d go black.
Well, you can. Just wrap a little piece of foil paper around the stork, They keep for weeks! This banana has been in my fridge for 3 weeks, and still as good now as when I bought . Olive, torrox costa.

Local Info Wanted: Can you tell us how it is?
Hello Digamites, after many cancellations and frustrating attempts to return to Torrox during the past months we are now looking forward to finally spending some time in our little beloved village house in Torrox Pueblo. We can’t wait to be back, but are a little apprehensive about how life in the village and the surrounding area might have changed. We would love to hear some news from people who have been there all these months, and also maybe from those who are equally frustrated by the travel restrictions and complications caused by the covid pandemic. Here are a few questions we have for starters: Apart from having to wear masks in public places etc,, has village life changed a lot? Are the cafes and taperias around Torrox and on the Plaza open and lively? Is the Blue Bus still going regularly down to Costa and El Morche, and is it easy to find a place on it? Can one still just go on and pay with a 1 Euro coin? Is it difficult to go to the beach in Costa, with regards to queues, masks, showres, regulations – and jellyfish? What is the situation with (dangerous?) mosquitoes this time of year in Pueblo, any good tips to deal with them in the house? We don’t have air conditioning except to leave all windows and doors open in the evening, and did not really have any problems in the past. If any one of you feels like answering to this, we would love to hear from you, please email: ailinbecker62 AT gmail d0t com
Thanks! Ailin, presently West Cork, soon Torrox Pueblo.

Regional Health minister admits that Andalucía is facing ‘a second wave’ of Covid-19: Data also shows that the Junta has been carrying out PCR diagnostic tests at well below the national average.
Last Thursday’s data showed a worsening situation locally. There were 816 new PCRcases on the previous 24 hours in the Andalucía region, the highest since 30 March, although most new cases were asymptomatic.
In Malaga province, including the Costa del Sol, there were 238 new cases, down slightly on Wednesday’s 300. There were 110 being treated in hospital for Covid-19 on Thursday in the province, said officials. Experts are predicting an increase in coronavirus fatalities in Spain three weeks after infections began to spike:
Data offered by the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control – which is based on the information sent by the Health Ministry – show that mortality in Spain has doubled in less than two weeks, going from 0.4 deaths per 100,000 inhabitants to 0.8. The information from the regions confirms this trend.
“Mortality is the last thing that rises,” explains Francisco Javier Falo, the general director of public health in Aragón, the region that has seen the highest infection rates this summer. “First the infections go up, then between 10 and 15 days later the hospitalizations rise, and then toward the third week, mortality rises. It’s the last thing that goes up, but then later it’s very difficult to bring it down, because groups of patients in a very serious condition start to accumulate in hospitals and often they do not progress well.” Full story: https://english.elpais.com/society/2020-08-31/the-mortality-rate-is-the-last-thing-to-rise-but-then-its-very-difficult-to-get-it-down.html
