Golden Leaves Funeral Plans:
Pre-planning your funeral is a thoughtful and responsible way to show you care about your family.
Funerals are no easy task. There are numerous considerations to factor in, including logistics, food and drink, casket purchase and burial grounds. A loved one’s death brings immense emotional strain to any family, and the question of financing and arrangements only exacerbates the stress.
Handling all of these challenges is difficult enough in one’s normal circumstances, but having to go through it while abroad is an enormous burden.
Golden Leaves Funeral Plans aims to support grieving families during these tumultuous times. Since our inception in 1984, we have partnered with a widespread network of funeral directors across the UK and Europe.
Purchasing a funeral plan with Golden Leaves enables you to plan, design and pay for your funeral services in advance.
As one of the leading providers of expat prepaid funeral plans in Spain, Portugal, Cyprus, Balearic Islands, and the Canary Islands, we make sure to adequately support your family in the time of greatest need.
If you are an expat family in need of prepaid funeral services please contact Ruth on phone or whats app + 34 693 715 718

DoctorLaptop’s famous Annual Clean & TuneUp Service €60: For Windows & Mac. New “fileless” malware formats evade standard anti-virus programs, making it difficult for typical users to “dis-infect” computers themselves with free, consumer level tools. If you rely on your computer and want it running at peak performance an annual professional servicing with advanced professional grade tools is necessary. You wouldn’t drive your car till it runs out of oil before servicing it, would you? If you did, the engine replacement will cost far more than if you had properly maintained it with an oil change once or twice a year. It’s the same with computers, you should do a quick cleanup yourself once a month, and get an annual professional service. I do the most comprehensive cleaning and tune-up possible: verify all System files and permissions, replacing any found to be corrupt, test all hardware and do hard disk sector repairs if needed, use a 5 tool malware/adware/spyware removal protocol, clean out junk files/logs/history/etc., update Windows/Mac+all drivers+programs and finally optimize your settings and registry for fastest overall performance. Job usually completed overnight. Heavily infected comps or those showing error messages need a repair, not a maintenance service. Hard disks of 1000Gb or more add €10 and may require 2 days to complete.
ALSO: Business computer maintenance & security service, if you think you’ve been hacked, let me do the cleanup and recovery, and I can even track down the source. Free shopping service, send me your requirements, I’ll find you the best deals!
Windows, Apple/Mac, Linux and Android all serviced.

Vetiver Spain in Sayalonga is now fully open!
We have started to receive clients but by appointment only. It is wonderful to finally be able to have visitors! We are of course following the legal guidelines regarding masks and social distancing.
The summer is a great time to plant Vetiver as this plant is indigenous to India. Vetiver loves the heat of summer to grow. Vetiver is often used as a wind barrier in the fall and winter months. Vetiver is the best plant to stabilise erosion prone locations before the first fall rains come. We have plenty of plants in stock for either pickup or delivery via the Spanish Correos.
It is always a great way to spend a day in the garden.
We also have Moringa seeds, Lemon Grass, Moringa seedlings and now our new product, Organic Moringa Powder. If you do not know the medicinal powers of Moringa you can check it out here. https://www.vetiverspain.org/moringa-oleifera-.html
This month we have some specials for both pickup and shipments.

Hi-definition photos?: Maybe some useful information for fellow Digamites. Yesterday I posted items for sale with photos and had a reprimand from Naythan.
“Hi, 2 of these pics are way over the file size limit of 4Mb. Please do not send in super hi-definition photos, use standard quality photos. Naythan”
So I apologised and responded:
“The one photo was taken with my old iPhone in December last year. The other 2 I took with my new iPhone SE. I can only assume the camera is different as I have not had that problem before.”
He explained and told me what to do. “The new phone is evidently taking pics in Hi-def by default. Go into the new phone Camera Settings and change the resolution (sometimes called quality) to a lower setting. New phones can take higher quality pics than older cameras. But these hi-quality (hi-definition) pics are much larger in file size, and are pointless on websites, as websites have Standard Quality photo display. Hi-def pics are for high quality printing, or viewing on the new 4K HD televisions.” Naythan
I have done as advised. Screen shots from my iPhone. Settings>Camera>Formats
Thank you Naythan you are a gem.

Please be careful about believing crisis info posts on Fakebook, Social Media and even mainline news sources: There are tons of hoaxes circulating. Salamanca and Valladolid return to Phase 1: From 00:00 this Wednesday new restrictions in the cities of Valladolid and Salamanca due to the lack of control of the contagion of coronavirus, “Practically the same measures as phase 1” of the de-escalation.
The incidence of cases per 10,000 inhabitants is in Valladolid at 19.1 and in Salamanca at 17.3, figures very different from those of other provincial capitals, such as Palencia, with 7.6, or Segovia, with 10.91.
“It is essential throughout the territory, but especially in Valladolid and Salamanca, that citizens know that strict compliance with all these measures will be required, which will not have an effect in the next ten days because, surely, they will continue increasing contagions, hospital admissions and ICUs and deaths ”, said the vice president of the Board, Francisco Igea. Spanish Health minister rules out another nationwide lockdown: Salvador Illa said that despite rising case numbers, the current situation is very different to that of March. “More than half of the cases are asymptomatic, the average age is much lower, hospital pressure is low and the number of deaths is very different…”, “…nothing suggests that we will go back to the same situation we had in March,” he said.
In an interview published in La Vanguardia, Illa attributes this increase in Covid-19 infections to increased mobility since the end of the state of alarm and the early detection system put in place which is “much better than a few weeks ago”. Hotels on the Costa say they have been only 40% full and many will have to close in the winter: The weeks of peak demand are over and the tourism sector is asking ministers for a rescue plan, “otherwise we won’t make it through to the spring”. “About 98 per cent of our clients this summer have been Spanish,” says Miguel Sánchez, who has hotels in Malaga and Cordoba. Hotel owners are seeking a cash rescue plan to compensate for the lack of international tourists. And the worst is yet to come, as the Aehcos hotel association reminds us, warning that the period of grace for loan repayments and extra time to pay taxes have only put off the payment of bills. Whistleblower describes how workers were forced to make claims for the Spanish Minimum Living Income ‘Non Compliant’: An investigation is reportedly underway and the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office is already aware of what happened in what could amount to one of Spain’s largest scandals.
Tragsa, the public company in charge of managing the Minimum Living Income (IMV), allegedly told its workers that they should process the reports in such a way that none of them appeared as “compliant” – in other words, the claimants were automatically denied benefits.
