How to post more photos than the rules allow – use collages. You can combine several of your photos into a single collage photo by using this free online collage creation tool. It’s very easy to use, give it a try! https://www.photocollage.com/

Correcting flawed submissions: If you send an incorrect submission, or you forget to include the photos, please send in a new, full corrected submission and ask me to ignore the previous, incorrect submission. I am too busy to keep track of partial submissions in different emails and patch them together. Your cooperation is appreciated.  -Editor

CORONA VIRUS HOTLINE: Information hotline for those who suspect they may have the coronavirus. Anyone experiencing symptoms should stay at home and dial 900 400 061 or 955 545 060 – and only call 112 in an emergency.

When you need reliable info consult The Citizens Advice Bureau Spain at https://www.citizensadvice.org.es/…or the website or Facebook page of your local Town Hall (Ayuntamiento).

NOTICE- Contact email address spelling:
Please don’t use bizarre email spellings in post contact info.
Exchanging AT for @, or dot for the period, is ok. If you use any other confusing spelling I will change it to this format, example At email d0T com. I’ve had complaints from readers who are having their post replies returned for incorrect email addresses. Every time, it is one of these bizarrely coded email address causing the problem.
-It confuses some readers and will prevent you getting replies.
-It will not prevent spammer email harvesting. Today’s Artificial Intelligence powered email harvesters are not fooled by these simple spelling tricks.
-If you get spam email, it is far more likely your email address was taken from your own email account provider or What’s App or Fakebook. These all get hacked regularly, and their employees often get caught selling email lists to bolster their incomes. Also, any free on-line service you use that has your email address very likely sells it; read the User Agreement fine print and you will often discover they admit “we may share your email with our partners”, that is the price of using the “free” service.
-These days it is SOP (standard operating proceedure) to make a second email account to use for public posting and receiving emails from strangers, seperate from their private account used for business and personal contacts.
Your cooperation is appreciated. -Editor

Pre-planning your funeral is a thoughtful and responsible way to show you care about your family.
Funerals are no easy task. There are numerous considerations to factor in, including logistics, food and drink, casket purchase and burial grounds. A loved one’s death brings immense emotional strain to any family, and the question of financing and arrangements only exacerbates the stress.

Purchasing a funeral plan with Golden Leaves enables you to plan, design and pay for your funeral services in advance.

Vetiver Spain in Sayalonga is now fully open!
We have started to receive clients but by appointment only. It is wonderful to finally be able to have visitors! We are of course following the legal guidelines regarding masks and social distancing.
The summer is a great time to plant Vetiver as this plant is indigenous to India. Vetiver loves the heat of summer to grow. Vetiver is often used as a wind barrier in the fall and winter months. Vetiver is the best plant to stabilise erosion prone locations before the first fall rains come. We have plenty of plants in stock for either pickup or delivery via the Spanish Correos.
It is always a great way to spend a day in the garden.
We also have Moringa seeds, Lemon Grass, Moringa seedlings and now our new product, Organic Moringa Powder. If you do not know the medicinal powers of Moringa you can check it out here. https://www.vetiverspain.org/moringa-oleifera-.html
This month we have some specials for both pickup and shipments.

Recommendations & Requests

Recommendation: Archgrove Services recently moved our belongings from the UK to Torrox Costa and pulled out all the stops to get our things to us in good time. They definitely have the ‘can do’ attitude, kept us informed throughout with everything arriving safely at the destination. In these challenging times, It’s good to know we can rely on Archgrove whenever we need something moving. A big ‘thank you’ to Steve, Gail, Adam and the team at Archgrove.

Please be careful about believing crisis info posts on Fakebook, Social Media and even mainline news sources: There are tons of hoaxes circulating. If there is no verifiable source provided with the info, while it may contain some degree of truth (as do all good lies) you should always have a healthy degree of scepticism. -Ed.

‘Community transmission’ of Covid-19 is declared in Malaga province: New measures have been “proposed” and the province now is “under observation” from the Junta as infections are so widespread that cases can no longer be tracked to specific sources.
Junta spokesman Bendodo is calling on town halls to limit events to those that are “strictly necessary” and is calling for a series of concerts scheduled for this coming weekend to be cancelled. (It is unknown if any Town Halls have answered his call.) He also hasn’t ruled out other measures next week if the number of infections is not contained.

As schools reopen, Spain sees highest spike in new cases of second Covid-19 wave: According to data released Monday by the Spanish Health Ministry, the total number of Covid-19 cases has risen to 525,000, meaning that infections spiked again last week, with nearly 9,000 new daily cases.
The 14-day cumulative incidence of the virus, which is the parameter most commonly used to compare the epidemiological situation in each country, has risen at the same speed and is now at 230 cases per 100,000 people. According to the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), Spain has the highest incidence in Western Europe and almost double that of France, which is second on the list.
Fernando Simón, the director of the Health Ministry’s Coordination Center for Health Alerts, argued that the spike in cases is partly due to the fact that more infections are being tracked and detected. Green campaigners accused of spreading fake news by Nerja Council:
A councillor has hit back at the Ecologistas en Acción group after they reported the presence of “dark coloured water with a strong smell of sewage” in the town’s Chillar river, “Without the need to run chemical or bacteriological tests we can confirm that the water is contaminated.”
Nerja’s environment councillor, Javier Rodríguez, said he was “indignant” over the accusations. He claimed that the water was in fact rainwater and not sewage. He said that it was dark in colour as it had been washed down the roads and been mixed with dust and dirt from the ground. Andalucian government warns of drought risk to the Axarquía area: The Junta has warned of drought in the Axarquía as the end of the hydraulic year approaches. La Viñuela reservoir currently contains 54 square hectometres of water; five less than this time last year and just 33 per cent of its capacity.
