Andalusia stabilizes its coronavirus infections at around 3,000 pending more restrictions: {Translated from https://seville.abc.es}
Andalusia has added 3,424 coronavirus infections this Saturday. They are almost the same as yesterday (3,673) and the day before (3,296). The community seems to have entered its floor of daily cases around 3,000 , which represents a decrease to almost half of a few weeks ago, when more than 5,500 daily were added.
The decline in cases is undeniable but doubts are now being cast on whether it is enough to take pressure off the health system. It seems so since Andalusia has dropped this Saturday for the first time in a month from the 3,000 hospitalized by coronavirus. In addition, those admitted to the ICU have also been fewer for days.
Seville and Granada continue to be the provinces where the most cases of Covid-19 are reported. They are 669 and 678 respectively. Cádiz follows closely, a province that although during the summer and the first part of autumn had very few cases, it has been in the first places in the number of for weeks daily infections. This Saturday they have added 550 new infected. Behind is Jaén (+396); Malaga (+378); Almeria (+304); and Huelva (+196).
As for the dead, Andalusia has added another 50 this Saturday, bringing the total number of fatalities from the pandemic in the community to 3,599. The highest figures are in the provinces that have registered the most infections in the previous weeks . They are Sevilla (+16 dead); Granada (+10); Cordoba (+7); Cádiz (+6); Malaga (+5); and Almería (+2).
The positive note of the day is put by the recovered, which are 2,708 since yesterday. The community adds more than 2,000 people cured of coronavirus for days, so that the list of Andalusians who have already overcome the disease is 97,309 already, close to one hundred thousand. Costa councils to use funds from Christmas budgets to offset the effects of the pandemic: The Three Kings will still bring gifts to children in Spain in the early hours of 6 January, but for the first time there will be no parades in the 103 municipalities of Malaga province during the evening before. The Covid-19 restrictions mean that these traditional processions can’t take place, so the councils are now planning to use the money they would normally have spent on them on measures to alleviate the economic crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic instead.

Why You May Want To Think Twice Before Using Cloud Services For Your Business: {by Naythan} Big tech is pushing hard for all businesses to store their data on cloud based storage services. But is that really a good idea? Many prosperous businesses are successful because they have a market advantage of some sort- a unique recipe, design, proceedure, exclusive client lists, etc. Such info is valuable and must be kept private to maintain the market advantage.
The cloud is not a good place to keep secrets. There are actually many weaknesses.
One is they are vulnerable to hackers and corrupt employees who can access your data. Another is the cloud service provider themselves. Do they deserve to be trusted? If history is any indicator the answer is no. Amazon offered cloud storage to clients selling items on the Amazon platform. Amazon was later caught mining their clients data, that in turn was used to develop Amazon branded products to directly compete with their clients! https://www.wsj.com/articles/amazon-scooped-up-data-from-its-own-sellers-to-launch-competing-products-11587650015
These cloud services also use third party contractors to perform some of their business operations. These contractors also have access to your data. So when you trust your cloud services provider, you are also trusting a whole bunch of other companies as well, giving your data an even wider set of possible observers. https://www.information-age.com/reducing-threats-posed-third-party-contractors-123468368/
Even Steve Wozniak, the co-founder of Apple, has expressed his not-so-flattering opinion, forecasting many “horrible problems” will derive from the use of cloud computing. He sees the lack of data control as a true concern and believes the problem will only spiral towards the worst as more and more resources are shared.
For a plain language explanation of all the different cloud data risks, of which there are quite a few, read this article: CLOUD COMPUTING SECURITY RISKS IN 2020, AND HOW TO AVOID THEM

It’s Not Only Computers In Short Supply- Now Waiting Lists to Buy an Appliance in Spain: The slowdown in production in China at the beginning of the year, and in other countries a few months later, when the coronavirus spread, together with the current restrictions, they have led to a decrease in the number of household appliances manufactured. This circumstance has been joined by an increase in the demand for this type of product due to the greater time we spend at home and the increase in household chores. The Covid-19 pandemic has consequently led to long waiting lists in Spanish shops for a customer to purchase a washing machine, refrigerator or dishwasher, among other electrical appliances of the so-called white line.
Although manufacturers and distributors hope that the problem will be resolved little by little and that a return to normalcy will be achieved at the end of the first quarter of 2021, the increase in purchases by the Black Friday and Christmas campaign may further exacerbate the problem. Currently, many appliances are out of stock and consumers must sign up for a waiting list and then keep their fingers crossed for the date promised from brands to marketers to be met.
