Vax Info Nerja: There is a big VAX centre in Nerja – the sports hall at the Pabellon. (It is also called Calle Neptuno, which is not helpful.)
At the Eastern end of Nerja, on the N 340. there is a SuperSol Supermarket. Uphill of the supermarket is the sports stadium and indoor pool, padel courts, and a huge basketball building which is now the VAX centre
There is ample parking both in the road outside and in their own parking areas.
It is well signposted through Nerja
It is also VERY well organised and efficient.

Covid rate rises to 181 in Andalusia with 1,639 new positives on the last day: {Translation} Updated: 03/06/2021 14:08
-The Regional Ministry of Health and Families reports this Thursday that 794 patients confirmed with Covid-19 currently remain in Andalusian hospitals, of which 200 are in ICU. This indicates that hospital pressure in the autonomous community continues to fall in line with the pace of vaccination.
-However, the spread of the pandemic has not stopped and the number of new positive cases continues to rise. Specifically, the latest health report states that 1,639 more cases of Covid have been detected in Andalusia, most of them in the provinces of Seville (444) and Malaga (327). This accelerates the incidence rate per 100,000 inhabitants as it rises to 181.64, four points higher than the previous day.
-There have been 10 deaths due to coronavirus in the last day, of which seven have occurred in Seville, two in Granada and one in Cordoba.
-The cumulative balance since the start of the pandemic so far in Andalusia leaves 587,796 confirmed infected by PDIA (diagnostic tests of active infection); 10,062 deaths and 557,469 recovered.
-By Wednesday 2 June, Andalusia had administered a total of 4,972,423 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine (120,582 more in 24 hours, a daily record number of doses administered), which represents 98.73% of the doses received, and a total of 1,795,427 Andalusians have the full vaccination schedule (65,227 more).
-This was announced in a video on Twitter by the president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, who urged caution. “The shield against the virus is growing: 25% of the target population has the full vaccination schedule. Science and a lot of caution to defeat the virus!
-With these figures, Andalusia has 46.52% of the population over 16 years of age with at least one dose of the vaccine and 25.42% with the full regimen.
Virus tracking
-On the other hand, the Ministry of Health and Families of the Andalusian Regional Government will carry out new population screenings in the coming days in various municipalities, following the decision taken by the various High Impact Territorial Public Health Alert Committees.
-Specifically, the tests will be carried out in 23 Andalusian localities, spread throughout all the provinces. The dates will be announced in the next few days and those who voluntarily submit themselves to the tests will receive a notification with information on where they will be carried out.
-The list of municipalities is as follows: Algar in the province of Cádiz; Fuente Palmera and La Guijarrosa in Córdoba; Órgiva, Torrenueva, Atarfe, Churriana de la Vega, Cúllar Vega, Güevéjar, Iznalloz and Monachil in Granada; El Cerro del Andévalo and Huelva Capital in Huelva; Villardompardo, Cambil, Andújar and La Puerta de Segura in Jaén; Antequera, Villanueva del Rosario and Colmenar in Málaga; and La Algaba, San Nicolás del Puerto and La Puebla del Río in Seville. Bars and restaurants won’t be able to serve food and drink after midnight across Spain this summer: In a bid to unify Covid measures across the country, the Ministry of Health put forward a series of proposals which were voted through, on Wednesday, albeit without the backing of Madrid, Andalucía, Murcia, Catalonia and Galicia and the abstention of Castilla y León, Melilla and Euskadi.
-all bars and terraces in Spain must stop serving drinks and meals at midnight this summer
-all “bars, restaurants and terraces” must be closed by 1am, regardless of the level of incidence of the virus in the area where the establishments are located
-allowing “nightlife and discotheque” venues, even in closed spaces, to extend their closing hours until 2am, depending on the incidence rate in the local area.

Spain details new ‘traffic light’ system and adds new Hospitality & Education rules: On Wednesday, the Inter-Territorial Council of the National Health System (CISNS), which brings together health chiefs from the central and regional governments, voted to make the “traffic light” system legally binding.
The new rules agreed on Wednesday may lead to legal conflicts between the Health Ministry and some regional governments. Madrid has already announced that it will follow its own measures – not those outlined by the traffic light system. Full article with the new rules:
