The Axarquia region remains at level 1 of the Health Alert for Covid-19: {Translation} Updated: 10June21, 10:30.
-The health district of Axarquia and the health district of Malaga to which the 21 villages of the Axarquia region belong remain this Thursday at level 1 health alert for coronavirus. This has been determined by the Territorial Committee for High Impact Public Health Alerts in Malaga, which met this Wednesday, 9 June, by telematic means.
-In this sense, the Axarquia health district has lowered its rate compared to last week, going from 108.1 the previous week to the current 99.3. However, the health district of Malaga, to which the towns of Macharaviaya, Moclinejo, Rincon de la Victoria and Totalan belong, has gone up from 120.1 to the current rate of 136.1.
-Since the beginning of the pandemic, more than a year ago, 8,173 people have been admitted to hospital in the province of Malaga, 784 to the ICU. The number of recovered patients is 97,737, after adding 268; and the number of deaths is 1,653. Spain’s regions given total freedom to decide their Covid hospitality and nightlife measures: The Ministry of Health and Spain’s regions have unanimously agreed a proposal that gives the latter absolute freedom in deciding their own coronavirus control measures in the hospitality sector this summer. The department, headed by Carolina Darias, did a last-minute U-turn and also agreed to allow the regions to make decisions about nightlife restrictions which the minister had previously flagged as “non-negotiable”.

Top Court To Debate If First State Of Alarm Was Unconstitutional: The Constitutional Court will debate if Spain’s first State of Alarm, declared by President Pedro Sanchez on March 14, 2020, was legal or illegal. The court will hold its session on June 22 in plenary to study a proposal that that the restrictions on the mobility in the first months of the pandemic violated fundamental rights.
“If the government wanted to suspend fundamental rights, it would need to go to a state of exception and it did not do so because for then it would have to have gone to Congress,” Vox argued. The “hippies” of the ‘Rainbow Family’ who camp freely in La Rioja handed 76  sanctions: {Translation}
-The Guardia Civil in La Rioja has issued 76 reports/complaints to the organisers and participants of the international “Rainbow Gathering – Rainbow Family” movement associated with the “hippie” lifestyle, which this year was held in La Rioja, in the remote enclave of the Portilla valley, about five kilometres southwest of Viniegra de Abajo and about three kilometres from the border with Castilla y León.
-The exact campsite can only be reached on foot for the last two kilometres. Another 70 members of the “Familia Arcoíris” avoided the sanction by leaving the site during the summons of the Guardia Civil officers.
-The reports/complaints have been processed for flagrant breaches of:
*Law for the Protection and Development of the Forestry Heritage of La Rioja, which prohibits free camping in all public utility forests in La Rioja and the setting of fires.
*Law on Forestry for driving off-road and parking vehicles off-road on vegetation cover.
*Law for the Protection of Citizen Security for the allegation of false or inaccurate data in identification processes.
*State and Autonomous Community legislation on health prevention and containment in relation to Covid-19, for groups of people not living together, not wearing masks and not keeping a safe distance.
-Since the arrival of the “Rainbow Family”, agents of the Armed Institute have carried out a “very exhaustive” monitoring of the meeting, which was attended at its peak by nearly two hundred people – men, women and children – of different ages and from different parts of Europe.
-The controls set up in the area prevented another 54 members of the “Rainbow Family” from arriving at the campsite. For the total control of this “hippie” commune it was necessary to mobilise a Civil Guard Air Service helicopter, as well as the Citizen Security Service Units, the Nature Protection Service, the Cynological Service with dogs specialised in the detection of narcotic substances and the Mountain Rescue and Intervention Team.
-The presence of minors in the illegal encampment also motivated their communication to the Social Services of the Government of La Rioja, not only because of a schooling issue, but also because of the very bad sanitary and health conditions. Two cameras on the Costa del Sol in Spain’s top five for catching speeding drivers:
-Malaga province has the dubious honour of seeing two of its speed cameras in the top five for collecting fines in the entire country.
-In fact, the one that has been at kilometre 246 of the A-7 for two decades, heading in the direction of Barcelona, with a speed limit of 80 kilometres per hour, is the one that caught most speeding drivers in the whole of the country in 2020, with 48,771 – an average of 133.25 per day.
-The other is located just ten kilometres away at marker 256 of the A-7, in Torre de Benagalbón, in the municipality of Rincón de la Victoria, but on the Cadiz carriageway. Last year it caught 34,327 drivers who were going more than 80 kilometres per hour. Photo:SUR. Full article: http://www.surinenglish.com/local/202106/10/radars-coast-spain-five-20210610113627.html

Health confirms that it will not be compulsory to pass a test to see Eurocup games in Spain at La Cartuja stadium in Sevilla: {Translation, summary}
Good news for many of the fans who were planning to attend one of the four matches of the European Championship which will be partially hosted by Sevilla.
Hours after this announcement on public radio, the Junta de Andalucía published a tweet on the official channel of the Consejería de Salud to stress that no tests will be necessary to guarantee the entry of attendees, but they will be optional in order to allow people to enjoy the show safely knowing that they are not carriers of the coronavirus. It is understood that all other security measures will remain in place and will be respected at all times with a comprehensive policy of prevention. Source, Spanish:

The future of driving may cost you $8.50 per hour if Volkswagen has its way: VW is considering charging an hourly fee for access to autonomous driving features once those features are ready. The company is also exploring a range of subscription features for its electric vehicles, including “range or performance” increases that can be purchased on an hourly or daily basis. The first subscription features will appear in the second quarter of 2022. VW anticipates the subscriptions will eventually make the company hundreds of millions of euros in additional revenue.
