ITVM Car Tax: Can anyone tell me how to pay my car tax on line? I did it last year but the website they have given only seem to supply information and I am unable to find the actual page for payment. Thanks, Helen. Competa

Recommendation: My wife and I have employed a mother and daughter cleaning team for the past three years. They are hard-working, fast, friendly, honest and efficient. They have a car and the daughter speaks English well enough to get by. For the moment, they have only English-speaking customers, either Brits or people of other nationalities who speak English.
One of the couples they clean for has decided to move back home and they are looking for another home to clean. The advantage of the team is that 2 people get the job done twice as fast. Their prices are reasonable and they can also travel from their homes in Competa to a reasonable distance. You’ll get more than your money’s worth!
I have volunteered to serve as an intermediary for them, so please call on 634361756. Paul, Competa
Water purification: We need to renew our water purification system to enable us to use the part regenerated/agricultural supply for domestic purposes. Has anyone any good recommendations? Elspeth, Almayate campo

Coronavirus infection rate starts to fall in Andalusia: {Translation} Updated: 14/06/2021, 16:25
-The 1,315 new coronavirus infections recorded this weekend mark the beginning of a fall in the incidence of the pandemic in Andalusia. This is 285 fewer cases than those recorded last week and the best Monday in terms of this statistic since 11 April, bringing the incidence rates down to 184.7 cases per 100,000 inhabitants over 14 days and 81.3 cases per week.
-The drop in the accumulated incidence rate is generalised in all provinces, especially in Seville and Cordoba, with Almeria being the lowest with 66 cases and Huelva the highest with almost 290 cases and the only 7-day rate higher than one hundred cases (127) in the community.
-In terms of cases detected by provinces in the last 48 hours, Malaga overtook Seville as the province with the highest number of cases, with 242 cases in Malaga and 234 in Seville. They are followed by Cádiz with 182, Granada with 176, Huelva with 162, Córdoba with 147, Jaén with 106 and Almería with 66.
-The region has two new deaths from the disease, one in Cordoba and the other in Granada, bringing the number of Andalusians who have died from Covid-19 since the start of the pandemic to 10,120.
-In terms of hospitalised patients, the number of conventional beds has increased this Monday, with 703 patients admitted, 36 more than on Sunday, although the pressure of care in the ICU has decreased, with 9 fewer patients than the previous day, a total of 141 critically ill patients. Andalusia calls for Covid vaccination for those over 36 this week: {Translation, first 5 paragraphs only} Updated: 14/06/2021, 16:42
-Vaccination is progressing at cruising speed in Andalusia. This week the immunisation ages will be lowered one step further and those born between 1981 and 1985, i.e. those aged between 36 and 40, will be able to make an appointment. This has been confirmed by the Regional Ministry of Health and Families to ABC, who stress that from this Tuesday appointments for this population will be open.
-Thus, the first to be able to make an appointment are those born in 1981 and 1982, who this year will be 39 and 40 years old. They will be able to do so on Tuesday 15 June.
-Two days later it is the turn of those who are 37 and 38 years old this year, i.e. those born in 1983 and 1984. They will be able to make an appointment to be vaccinated against Covid-19 on Thursday 17 June.
-Finally, according to the Health Department, those born in 1985, i.e. those who turn 36 this year, will be able to make an appointment from Friday 18 June.
-Appointments can be made, according to the Regional Ministry of Health, through Salud Responde, by calling 955545060, on ClickSalud+ and on the Salud mobile application. PM announces four-week delay to Covid lockdown easing in England: Boris Johnson has halted the final easing of lockdown restrictions in England and ordered a four-week delay to speed up the vaccination programme, but signalled afterwards he would not tolerate any further suspension.
The prime minister said 19 July was a “terminus date” and that all restrictions on social contact could be lifted, barring the emergence of a gamechanging new variant.

Digital Covid Certificate- Over-65s will receive a physical copy delivered to their homes:
-Digital Covid Certificates are designed to help make travel around the EU easier, however, they are not a requirement for travel. The document contains a QR code specific to you that airport staff can easily scan and check that you meet the travel safety requirements. It will include information like if you’ve been vaccinated or not, if you’ve had and now recovered from Covid-19 or if you have a recent negative Covid test.
-They are not the same as vaccination certificates issued by Spain’s regions, which are mainly for informational purposes.
-Overall, they are designed to save you time and effort while travelling in EU/Schengen Zone countries. From the EU’s perspective, it’s a way of avoiding quarantine and other restrictions for travellers in its member states.
According to the Andalusian regional premier Juan Manuel Moreno, the over-65s will receive a physical copy delivered to their homes, because they “are not accustomed to the digital methods”. The rest of the fully vaccinated population will be able to request it via the Andalusian health service website or app.
-The certificate is available, regardless of the type of healthcare you have – public or private via the online portal ClicSalud+ and the app Salud Andalusia. In order to download it, you’ll have to identify on the portal or app with your TIE number/NIE number, Cl@ve or digital certificate. The certificate is available in the ‘Salud‘ section, under “COVID-19 Certificates” online and via the home screen on the app.
-Once in this section, you will able to access the corresponding certificate, as well as that of their social security beneficiaries under 16 years of age.

Another 2 states in US lift all Covid restrictions: Gov. Phil Scott on Monday lifted all remaining state COVID-19 restrictions after Vermont reached the milestone of 80% of eligible residents getting at least one dose of the vaccine.
Kentucky ended their Covid restrictions June 11th. Masks, however, are still required in some counties on public transportation and at schools, long-term care facilities, and other locations that serve the “most vulnerable,” according to Gov. Beshear. Sources: https://apnews.com/article/vt-state-wire-vermont-coronavirus-pandemic-health-8965eac0c348c136c976dbc594dc1763

Wild goats ‘strolling’ through the city of Malaga: {Translation} A group of wild goats have surprised the residents of the eastern area of Malaga city this weekend. The presence of the animals has alarmed those who have come across them climbing the slopes around Monte Miramar or even ‘strolling’ in the street.
-Several videos and photographs have been circulating on social networks since this morning in which several goats can be seen in the urban environment of the city, to the astonishment of passers-by who could not believe what they were seeing. Apparently, the animals have been sighted in Avenida Pintor Sorolla or in Calle Marcos Obregón.
-It would not be the first time that wild goats have approached urban environments in the province of Malaga. Last month several pairs caused quite a stir in the municipality of Frigiliana, where they were seen jumping over the roofs of houses. On the same days they were sighted in Comares.
-In April last year, a group of mountain goats were seen in the streets of Archidona. On that occasion, after entering the town centre to the surprise of passers-by, the animals showed their dexterity by jumping over the fences in their path without any problem.
