Covid Andalucia- Andalusia has 167 municipalities with the rate of Covid greater than 2,000; 23 less in a week: {Translation} 16/01/2022, 10:12
-Nearly 1.4 million Andalusians live in the 617 municipalities with a Covid-19 coronavirus incidence rate of more than 2,000 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days, led by Hinojales (Huelva), which has the highest rate in Andalusia with 6,666.7.
-1,376,880 people live in the 167 Andalusian towns with incidence rates above 2,000 Covid cases in the last two weeks, which represents 16.2% of the population of the community.
-This represents a significant decrease in the last week in line with the sustained fall in the cumulative incidence rate in the community over the last few days. Thus, there are 23 fewer municipalities with a Covid rate above 2,000 in the last seven days and a decrease of 445,676 inhabitants, 24.5% less.
-Almería is now the province with the highest number of localities with a Covid rate of over 2,000 confirmed cases in the last 14 days, with 39, followed by Granada with 34; Jaén with 32; Córdoba with 30; Huelva with 14; Málaga with eight; Cádiz with seven; and Seville with three.
-Despite the overall decrease at regional level, three provinces have increased the number of municipalities with a rate of over 2,000 Covid cases in the last two weeks – Almeria with 16 more, Cadiz with four and Huelva with one – while the other five have reduced it – Jaen with 13 less, Granada and Seville with ten, Cordoba with six and Malaga with five.
-Cordoba, Almeria and Jaen are the only capitals that exceed 2,000 Covid cases in the last two weeks, while the rest are below, led by Granada with 1,779.9, followed by Huelva with 1,767.3, Malaga with 1,483.2, Cadiz with 1,231 and Seville, which with 1,084.6 has the lowest Covid rate of the Andalusian capitals.
-The eight municipalities of Malaga with similar parameters are Algarrobo (2,318.5), Arenas (2,973.7), Benamargosa (2,019.5), Iznate (2,094.8), Vélez-Málaga (2,304.4), Fuente de Piedra (2,253.9), Benalauría (2,283.1) and Cortes de la Frontera (2,186).
-The 34 municipalities of Granada in the situation are listed in the source article. Source, Spanish: https://andaluciainformacion.es/andalucia/1022145/andalucia-mantiene-167-municipios-con-tasa-covid-superior-a-2000-23-menos-en-una-semana/

SPAIN

Up to 40% of patients included in Spain’s coronavirus figures are actually admitted to hospital for other illnesses: The number of people being treated ‘with the virus’ instead of ‘because of Covid-19′ has risen sharply due to the spread of omicron and the protection offered by vaccines
EL PAÍS has questioned the regions as well as a dozen hospitals and specialists. While the majority responded by saying that they did not have precise information, the data collected show that between 25 and 40% of hospitalized patients are in this situation. Spain Extends Entry Restrictions for All EU/Schengen Area Countries for Another Week: The Spanish authorities have announced that all European Union and Schengen Area countries, except for Switzerland, will continue to be part of its COVID-19 risk list for another week.
According to the latest update made by the Ministry of Health of Spain, the updated risk list will enter into force tomorrow, January 17, and will remain valid until January 23. Can pharmacies in Spain charge for COVID certificates?: The answer is no, a pharmacy cannot charge for printing a COVID certificate. The question arose after a pharmacy in La Coruña decided to charge 1.50 euros for the document that shows a person has recovered from COVID, is vaccinated or has had a negative test result.
Last June, pharmaceutical organisations agreed that the service must be free and voluntary and that if any pharmacy could not or did not want to provide the COVID certificate then they did not have to, but under no circumstances were they to charge for it. UK

All Covid restrictions in England will be scrapped in 10 days, according to reports: The current ‘Plan B’ measures are due to be reviewed on January 26 – in 10 days time. A senior government source told the Sunday Express that all of the measures currently in place under the plan will be ditched.
Mandatory mask wearing in schools, as well as on public transport and at indoor events, Covid passports and the ‘work from home’ rule will all be scrapped, reports suggest.
All that will remain will be a requirement to isolate for five days with a positive Covid test and the need to take lateral flow tests for international travel.
Health Secretary Sajid Javid was last night said to be ‘sure’ that the restrictions will not be needed after the January deadline.
He is expected to formally announce in the coming days that the restrictions will not be renewed. A source said he ‘feels confident about the decision’ because of the falling number of cases and evidence that Omicron is not as dangerous as other variants. Tennis News- Novak Djokovic deported from Australia after judges uphold decision to cancel visa: The men’s world number one had been waiting since Monday when the original decision to cancel his visa to enter the country was quashed. Immigration minister Alex Hawke on Friday exercised his personal powers to cancel it for a second time “on health and good order grounds” before a Federal Court hearing on Sunday decided his fate.
Chief Justice Allsop spoke to initially confirm the unusual move had been made to allow court proceedings to be recorded. He then revealed a “unanimous decision” had been reached. “The orders of the court are, one: the amended application to be dismissed,” Judge Allsop said, adding that Djokovic must pick up the bill for both sides’ legal costs. “Two: reasons to be published at a later date.”
There could be further legal wrangling to come, but the decision means Djokovic faces a three-year ban from Australia, which typically accompanies a deportation ruling. Full article: https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/novak-djokovic-deported-australia-judges-065642697.html

How identity theft works on WhatsApp and what you can do to prevent it:
According to security experts, a growing number of people are falling victim to SIM swapping, a scam used by hackers to access passwords and empty bank accounts.
The scam is known as SIM swapping, whereby a phone number is cloned and used by identity thieves by assigning it to a new SIM card, after which they are able to access passwords and empty bank accounts. In order to carry out this cloning, thieves make use of a mechanism that is available on the dark web for around $200, or even with inside help from corrupt employees at cell phone companies who cut off the user’s service.

Witchcraft ‘online’- a business in explosion and out of control: Today the sorcerers of the tribe do not minister in remote caves, but they do it through the mobile, and they do not need to whisper their spells in the ear, but it is enough for them to emit them by WhatsApp, SMS or video call. Nor do they need to appear in the ad sections of newspapers to make themselves known as they did in the past, since social networks and searches of the Internet already supply them with plenty of clientele.
