– Ojeando Festival is one of the main musical events in the south of Spain. Become a benchmark for years, it is a festival with its own personality. Three stages distributed throughout the Villa de Ojen, in places as emblematic as the schoolyard, the town square or the mill.
– Ojén is a typical Andalusian town, with whitewashed walls and narrow streets. During the first weekend of July, this bucolic image gives way to a more modern, more avant-garde, more daring and daring image.
– About thirty artists meet in the town to fill it with music, harmony, experiences and joy. It is common to find groups sitting on a terrace of its many bars or strolling through the bustle of its streets. VIDEO LINK

SPAIN

Electric Price Relief Plan utilizing a “ceiling on the gas price” began this Tuesday to lower electricity rates – proves ineffective – the price of electricity rises Thursday another 15% after a 5% rise yesterday: {Translation, summary}
– That is a 20% rise in two days following a promised significant decrease!
– The average price of electricity today will be 259.01 euros per megawatt hour (MWh), 15% more than yesterday (Wednesday) 224.86 euros. These 259.01 euros are the sum of the price resulting from the auction (170.81 euros) and the compensation (88.20 euros) to electricity companies for the difference in the price of gas and the limit of 40 euros per MWh set by the government. The Ministry for Ecological Transition points out that the price would have reached 275 euros per MWh if the new mechanism had not been applied.
– Pedro Sánchez’s government had announced that the gas cap would bring prices down by 30%. More recently, he said that this reduction would be between 15 and 20%.
– The truth is that today (Wednesday), the first day of application of the new mechanism, the average wholesale market price is 5% more expensive than on Tuesday and tomorrow’s (Thursday) price is 15% more expensive than today. What is Sudden Adult Death Syndrome? Spanish media slams officials as excess mortality continues in Spain with “no explanation”:
– Official data reported from MOMO, Spain’s Daily Mortality Monitoring System, which tracks the evolution of the number of observed daily deaths versus expected deaths to be monitored, showed that in May, 4,000 deaths in Spain were due to excess mortality.
– More than three thousand of these “excessive” deaths were due to Covid, according to La Razon, with the remaining thousand being due to other unspecified pathologies. “These figures are striking,” the Spanish news outlet said. “Three thousand deaths from SARS-CoV-2 is too many if we take into account that 90 per cent of Spaniards are vaccinated.”
– “The inexplicable thing is that the months with excess mortality continue to pass and no official spokesperson says what is happening,” it said. It added: “A thousand more deaths from other causes also lack explanation and the Ministry of Health should clarify the reason.”
– The news outlet also added that the number of “cases of cardiovascular diseases, myocarditis, pericarditis, stroke, thrombocytopenia, sudden death and cancer are rising.”
– As previously reported, Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS) became mainstream news on Wednesday, June 8 following the development of Australia’s first SADS registry.
– Sudden Adult Death Syndrome, or Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome (SADS), is an “umbrella term to describe unexpected deaths in young people” and this ‘mysterious’ syndrome is said to have left doctors in Australia searching for more answers.

COSTA DEL SOL

Beach in Andalucía gets first ‘black flag’ in Spain for sun cream contamination: It has taken the environmental pressure group Ecologistas en Acción 365 days to analyse nearly 8,000 kilometres of Spanish coastline to award a total of 48 black flags.
The report by Ecologistas en Acción reveals that sun protection is important to protect the skin from diseases caused by exposure to the sun, but also “may contain substances such as endocrine disruptors, among others, which not only affect the health of human beings but also that of seas, rivers and lakes”.
In the province of Malaga the NGO focused on the Maro-Cerro Gordo cliff protected area, although they point out that “this problem is general along the entire coast”. Full article: https://www.surinenglish.com/malaga/axarquia/andalucia-black-flag-sun-cream-beach-20220615145130-nt.html

TRAVEL NEWS

EU to Launch “Biometric Entry/Exit System” in a Few Months:
– The Entry/Exit System (EES) will be an automated system that will be used to register travellers from third countries each time they cross an EU external border. The data will be gathered at land crossings, seaports, and air and then will be shared with the relevant government agencies.
– As soon as the new system start being operational, the authorities will put self-service devices at airports. These devices will be used to scan airports, faces, and fingerprints. Similarly, land borders will get gates where people will be able to scan their documents, face & fingers, and register their entry or exit into the EU.
(Note: These security systems are never fully secure, they rely on regularly-hacked data storage facilities. All of this data the EU collects will be available to hackers that will sell it on. That includes your fingerprints, face scans, ID numbers and travel data. This will be a bonanza for identity thieves and scammers. -Ed.)

Internet Explorer Browser Has Been Retired – Microsoft starts automatically redirecting Internet Explorer users to Edge: Internet Explorer is OFFICIALLY OBSOLETE and no longer supported.
– Microsoft will start automatically redirecting Internet Explorer users to its Edge browser over the next few months. Internet Explorer is being retired today, and consumers or businesses still using the browser will start to see a prompt soon that will redirect them to Microsoft Edge instead.
– The prompt and redirect is the first step in fully removing Internet Explorer from existing PCs, and Microsoft plans to issue an update that will disable the aging browser in the future. – “Eventually, Internet Explorer will be disabled permanently as part of a future Windows Update, at which point the Internet Explorer icons on their devices will be removed,” explains Sean Lyndersay, general manager of Microsoft Edge Enterprise.
– The redirect process to Edge will bring over data like passwords, favorites, and settings from Internet Explorer, and a “reload in IE mode” option will be presented in the toolbar to make it easy to access the special mode that Microsoft has built into Edge. IE mode supports older ActiveX controls that many legacy sites still use.
– All currently supported versions of Windows 10 Home, Pro, Enterprise, Education, and IoT will be impacted by the Internet Explorer retirement today. Windows 11 already ships without Internet Explorer. “Internet Explorer will not be immediately removed on all these versions today but will be progressively redirected to Microsoft Edge on all these devices over the next few months,” says Lyndersay.
