SPAIN
Gasoline and diesel set new all-time record highs: {Translation}
– The average price of petrol and diesel in Spain has set a new all-time high and is now above two euros per litre; moreover, in both cases it has already ‘eaten up’ the entire subsidy of 20 cents per litre that came into force on 1 April.
– Specifically, the average price of a litre of petrol this week stood at 2.141 euros, after registering an increase of 1.13% compared to seven days ago.
– This average price includes taxes, but does not reflect the discount of at least 20 cents per litre that came into effect on 1 April, as there are higher discounts, depending on the oil company and promotions for loyal customers.
– Taking this subsidy into account, the price of a litre of petrol would thus already be almost 12 cents more expensive than in the last week of March (1.818 euros), before the discount began to be applied, so that the increase in the price of this fuel since then has fully absorbed the aid.
– In the case of diesel, the average price per litre has risen by 3.64% in the last week, to exceed the two euro mark for the second week in a row (2.076 euros). Thus, when applying the 20 cents per litre reduction, the price would be around three cents higher than the price at the end of March (1.837 euros per litre).
– Compared to the same week a year ago, the average price of a litre of petrol has risen by 55.82%, while diesel is 67.68% more expensive, although without taking into account the rebate currently in force. MALAGA
From pop to flamenco, the Museum of Malaga will have nine concerts from 5 to 21 July: {Translation}
– The Museum of Málaga will host nine concerts as part of the Music and Museums (MUMU) cycle of the Department of Culture and Historical Heritage. The programme, which celebrates its third edition this summer, will take place on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights from 5 to 21 July and will feature pop and flamenco sounds.
– The line-up is opened by a benchmark on the national indie pop scene, Maga, 5 July 10 pm. Tickets for all the concerts, priced at 15 euros, are already on sale online at http://www.musicaymuseos.es.– On the 6th of July, Las Migas, offering feminine flamenco, presents their new album ‘Libres’.
– On the 7th of July Rosario La Tremendita does the same with ‘Acústico’, an interesting work that shows her most personal vision of flamenco.
– In the second week comes the guitar of Dani de Morón and his concert Carte Blanche on 12 July, an unmissable date with one of the guitarists of the moment, a master with concerns that always go beyond the boundaries of flamenco.
– Astola y Ratón will perform on 13 July to offer the public the joint work of two of the standard-bearers of fundamental Andalusian rock bands, Alejandro Astola and Diego Pozo el Ratón.
– The week ends with Pedro el Granaíno on the 14th of July with Granaíno Jondo, a flamenco recital where the ‘jondura y el quejó’ of his throat merges with the guitar of Antonio Luque Espejo Patrocinio Hijo.
– The last week opens with the young cantaora María Terremoto. Belonging to one of the most important flamenco sagas, she has managed to give a new air to traditional cante without renouncing purity. Her powerful and powerful voice will be accompanied by a guitar and two hand claps.
– On 20 July, Martirio and the brilliant guitarist Raúl Rodríguez will perform a concert in Travesía in which they will review the artist’s hits.
– Finally, the cycle will be closed by Mario Díaz on the 21st of July with Gira mapamundi to premiere the Cordovan musician’s new record ‘Fullería Volumen I’, the first release of the guitarist’s adventurous and eclectic spirit.

The National Police warning of attack by cybercriminals to clients of Unicaja in Vélez-Málaga: {Translation, summary}
– The National Police has alerted traders and businessmen of attacks by cybercriminals on Unicaja customers in Vélez-Málaga. The entity itself has recalled that it never sends messages to the mobile phone with urgent notifications to be resolved through a link. The National Police have pointed out that “in recent days Unicaja customers have been suffering a sophisticated attack by cybercriminals with the aim of defrauding them”, adding that it should be borne in mind that “the attack referred to could be carried out by pretending to be sent from any other bank or public institution”.
– Also recently, the National Institute of Cybersecurity (Incibe) detected a campaign of sending fraudulent SMS and e-mails impersonating the financial institution Unicaja Banco or Liberbank to steal bank details. The aim is to get customers to access a form and provide their personal details and bank codes. These emails use the excuse of unauthorised access to their online account to get users to verify their credentials. – Over 400 Members of the European Union’s Parliament have shown their full support for the extension of the EU Digital COVID Certificate for another 12 months, for both EU citizens and third-country nationals, at a plenary meeting held today, on June 23.– In a press release issued today, June 23, the Parliament has endorsed the deal with the Member States to prolong the legal framework of the EU Digital COVID Certificate, and the same has been supported by 453 members, while 119 were against, and 19 abstained for keeping the framework in place for EU citizens. Regarding keeping the scheme in place for third-country nationals, 454 voted in favour, 112 against, and 20 abstentions.
– While the existing scheme was set to expire a week later, on June 30, the newly approved one will remain effective until June 2023. TECH
Creepy Tech- Alexa will be able to speak with the voice of a deceased family member: Amazon revealed that it has developed a way for its Alexa voice assistant to replicate the speech of a dead relative, based on less than a minute of recorded audio of the original person.
– Amazon has already developed voice-synthesizing tech to let Alexa mimic the voices of celebrities, including Shaquille O’Neal and Melissa McCarthy. But that has previously required an individual to record dozens of hours of audio. Amazon now has developed a way to replicate a voice in high quality using less than one minute of recorded speech, which the company’s engineers were able to do “by framing the problem as a voice-conversion task, and not a speech-generation task,” according to Prasad.
– In introducing the demo, Prasad said that the ability for Alexa’s AI to emulate the speech of a deceased relative can represent a way to preserve the memory of a loved one who has died. “We are unquestionably living in the golden era of AI, where our dreams and science fiction are becoming a reality,” he said.
