MOONETTE – Organic Skincare for Mature Skin

We are a Torrox-based company specialising in the creation of formulae which help prevent premature skin ageing. We are committed to making effective products at affordable prices.
Your skin health matters to us. How you feed your skin is as important as how you feed your body. Why settle for anything less than natural and organic?
As our skin is the first layer of our defence against microbial infections, ultraviolet radiation and environmental contamination it plays a vital role in our health. As we grow older, however, our skin becomes thinner, wrinkled, and more sensitive; hence it requires the use of treatments containing specific ingredients to the care of treating mature skin.
Recognising this need we have created a range of formulae which help
-slow down ageing process by smoothing fine lines and wrinkles.
-improve facial complexion and eliminate blemishes.
At Moonette, we are passionate about health, beauty and plants. Your skin will benefit from the properties of botanic essential oils combined with a selection of nutrients for deep hydration, cell revitalization and antioxidant effect, all sourced from the finest natural ingredients with gorgeous fragrances.
Naturally, we care about our planet and feel the need to help reduce the sheer volumes of plastics waste that are generated daily around the globe. Presently, we are minimizing the usage of plastic materials in our production while seeking alternative forms of packaging. Covid Malaga- Rebound of spread of Covid in Malaga, with 1,196 cases: {Translation} 24 Junio, 2022 16:58
– The province of Malaga has registered 1,196 cases of Covid in the last three days, according to data provided on Friday by the Ministry of Health of the Andalusian Regional Government. This is almost a quarter of all the infections detected in the region in recent days.
– Specifically, Andalusia has registered 5,009 cases of Covid and 29 deaths from the disease since last Tuesday (from that day to Friday of last week there were 4,031 cases and 33 deaths). The highest number of positives has been diagnosed in the province of Malaga (1,196), followed by Granada, with 876.
– The good news in this case is that in the province of Malaga there have been no deaths from the coronavirus in the last three days, so the figure remains at 2,483 since the pandemic began more than two years ago.
– On the other hand, the number of Covid patients hospitalised in Malaga has fallen by three since last Tuesday. Thus, from 99 admitted with SARS-CoV2, the number has gone down to the current 96, of which six (+1) are in the Intensive Care Units (ICU).
– In addition, since last Tuesday there have been 51 new hospitalised patients, an increase compared to previous days.
– The total number of infected persons detected in Malaga during the pandemic has risen to 297,725; while the number of recovered patients now stands at 289,809, after adding 714 in the last three days.
– With regard to the vaccination process in the province of Malaga, the Andalusian Government has reported that more than three and a half million doses have already been administered, specifically 3,501,937 in the province, with 1,443,248 people receiving at least one vaccine and 1,412,074 receiving the full course. SPAIN

Another case of the famous Nancy Pelosi Rule, “we have to pass the law so we can see what’s in it”- Spain’s President Sanchez announces anti-crisis measures extended to December: {Translation}
– The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, announced this Friday that the decree with the measures to deal with the economic consequences of the invasion of Ukraine and the rise in inflation that will be approved tomorrow by an extraordinary Council of Ministers will be extended until 31 December, and will not be renewed for a further three months as initially announced.
– Sánchez, who appeared in Brussels at the end of the European Council, assured that the measures to be included in the decree, which he did not wish to advance, are “coherent” with what has been approved so far, supports particularly vulnerable sectors and, thirdly, will include “selective” reductions in certain taxes.
– The head of the Executive, who himself will give an account of the decree at the end of the Council of Ministers meeting (only after it has been passed), said that the measures will include aid for families, industry and companies so that they can protect themselves from rising prices.
– “We know that inflation is high, but this government knows very well who it governs for, we know very well that there are other sectors that want to maintain the status quo and privileges, but this government is not going to do it, we know who we govern for and we govern to protect families who have become much more vulnerable as a result of the rise in the cost of living,” Sánchez stressed.
– The President of the Government stated that the economic situation of the entire EU has been “damaged” as a result of the war, which has led to a rise in energy and food prices, which is weighing down the cost of living for citizens. He also defended once again the “structural” reform of the electricity market in Europe and the decoupling of the price of gas from electricity, as well as the promotion of a gas cap on the entire European energy market. He pointed out that as soon as the gas cap was put in place in the Iberian market, the evolution of the price in Spain is “substantially” lower than in the spot market. USA

U.S. Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade abortion rights landmark: The justices, in the ruling written by conservative Justice Samuel Alito, held that the Roe decision that allowed abortions performed before a fetus would be viable outside the womb – between 24 and 28 weeks of pregnancy – was wrongly decided because the U.S. Constitution makes no specific mention of abortion rights. By erasing abortion as a constitutional right, the ruling restored the ability of states to ban it, fundamentally altering America’s landscape on the issue of reproductive rights. Twenty-six states are either certain or considered likely to ban abortion. Full article: https://www.reuters.com/world/us/us-supreme-court-overturns-abortion-rights-landmark-2022-06-24/

SATURDAY RECIPE

Salt Cured Egg Yolks: Cured egg yolks have all the richness of fine cheese, along with a salty tang that comes from the curing process. They’re equally at home finely grated on top of pasta or topping a tasty dessert.
-Salt cured egg yolks are preserved with salt, obviously, but that’s not the end of the story. What if I told you that there was a tiny creature at work inside these tasty orbs of flavor? The same tiny creature that’s responsible for salami, sauerkraut, and yogurt?
– No, you say? Too good to be true? And yet, here we are, with perfectly preserved pro-biotic egg yolks for the tasting. A high salt environment inhibits certain spoiling bacteria, which allows other desirable cultures to dominate.
– It’s not that salt prevents anything from living in the yolks, it’s just that it slows the growth of some types of bacteria until the others can take over and release lactic acid. It’s the lactic acid that actually preserves the food, and the salt just facilitated the whole thing. Good work Lactobacillus!
– The whole adventure starts with egg yolks nestled into tiny cradles of salt. Pour about 1/2 inch of salt into a nonreactive container, like a glass or stoneware baking dish… See the full recipe here with photos of each step: https://practicalselfreliance.com/salt-cured-egg-yolks/
