As for including both locations in for-sale posts, the buyer needs to know where to collect the item, but they will also want to know where you are from in case there is a problem. DoctorLaptop Alert- Update Your Routers: Several large local internet providers sent out router updates this past week. In order for the updates to install, you need to turn off your router, and if it is a 2 unit fiber router setup, then you turn off both. Wait a full minute, then turn them back on. It will take a few minutes for the update to install and the connection to reconnect. If you think your internet has slowed recently, this may help. It is common that a router update waiting to be installed slows router performance. Doing this process periodically is a good habit to get into. Router updates are usually released late evening on the first or last Sunday of the month. This weekend my normally fast 1000MB/s fiber internet connection seemed slow, so I tested it and only had 90MB/s! I restarted the router as explained, and then it tested at 980MB/s. Problem solved.

Díaz obtains the support of Sánchez to intervene in the price of the shopping basket:
– Although criticism of the measure is made in private, in public the Government closes ranks regarding the idea of the vice president Yolanda Diaz to implement a maximum price for different products in the shopping basket (a proposed batch of common items considered the minimum necessary for an average consumer, exact details still under discussion). The Minister of Territorial Policy and spokesperson for the Executive, Isabel Rodríguez, highlighted in the press conference produced after the Council of Ministers that President of the Government Pedro Sánchez agrees with this initiative, which has sparked criticism from distribution employers.
– Yolanda Díaz has insisted on the need to implement this initiative. In her words, this limit would be “legal” and will take as a reference the limit that France implemented in 2011, under the mandate of Nicolás Sarkozy. “The president is fully focused on tackling inflation, the country’s main problem. We are studying measures that are legal and have had good effects in France. “It would be an agreement”, explained Díaz.
– “It goes according to the logic of this Government, which wants to reach an agreement with the distributors and consumers,” said Díaz, who, however, did not want to clarify whether the Minister of Agriculture, Luis Planas, knew of Sánchez intention to carry out this measure. In previous statements, Planas has questioned the implementation of maximum and minimum prices for products. Uber, Cabify and Bolt can continue to operate in Malaga and on the Costa from October, but only under certain conditions:
– Companies which hire out vehicles with drivers, such as Uber, Cabify and Bolt in Malaga and elsewhere on the Costa del Sol, will be able to continue operating from 1 October as the Junta de Andalucía is preparing to regulate the sector.
– The government in Madrid has told regional authorities that they must draw up regulations or the ride-hailing companies will only be able to operate between different municipalities and not within a town or city. For example, if that were the case, these drivers would be able to transport clients from Malaga Airport to Torremolinos, but not from the airport to the city centre. MALAGA
Pirate TV Operation Busted- Arrested for selling paid audiovisual content over the internet and via satellite from Alicante and Málaga:
– The National Police have arrested a cybercriminal in the Alicante town of Denia who illegally sold paid audiovisual content over the Internet and via satellite, and it is estimated that the economic damage created amounts to more than 210,000 euros. It had as its centre of operations the provinces of Alicante and Malaga.
– The investigators detected several channels in an instant messaging application dedicated to the illicit commercialisation of paid audiovisual content, without the necessary authorisation or permissions, and had more than 2,300 subscribers.
– The investigations revealed that the alleged perpetrator had a strong technological infrastructure that managed the websites and app to disseminate his illegal services. These pages displayed articles providing all visitors with the necessary knowledge to illegally view paid content. They also allowed users to access multimedia content illegally using mobile phones and mobile TVs with Internet access.
– As a result of the investigation, it was found that this app had reached more than 50,000 downloads.
– After analysing the pages, the agents observed that they offered the possibility of subscribing to the television channels they offered, the price of which varied depending on the duration of the package contracted and the number of devices on which the user wanted to watch them.
– It was identified that the technological infrastructure through which this crime was committed was remotely administered from the United Kingdom. The detainee has been charged with crimes against intellectual property, against television broadcasting services of a conditional nature and for defrauding electricity. Source, Spanish:

Aqualia warns that this Wednesday there may be occasional water supply cuts in Benajarafe and Valle-Niza: {Translation}
– The Vélez-Málaga Municipal Water Service company will carry out repair work on the general supply network that runs along the N-340 between 8.00 am and 5.00 pm, in order to optimise the infrastructure and guarantee the quality of the service on the west coast of the municipality.
– Aqualia, the company that manages the Municipal Water Service of Vélez-Málaga, has informed that tomorrow, Wednesday 7 September, due to the execution of various repair works on the general supply network that runs along the N-340 in the western part of the municipality, there may be occasional water supply problems in different areas of the municipality.
– The affected area will be the western coast of the municipality of Vélez-Málaga, specifically the villages of Benajarafe and Valle-Niza. The repair work will last from approximately 8.00 am to 5.00 pm.
– Aqualia advises the public to ensure that no taps are left running during the hours when the supply is suspended, in order to avoid unnecessary water loss, and to avoid using electrical appliances, such as washing machines or dishwashers, in order to avoid incidents in the internal installations during the restoration of the service. Once the service has been restored, it is recommended that the water is left to circulate for a few minutes to avoid the possible residual impurities.

The “worst summer in history” closes a hundred bars and restaurants in Seville: {Translation, summary}
– In the province of Seville around a hundred bars and restaurants have closed their doors for good or are in the process of transferring premises after the end of August, according to calculations by the Seville employers’ association for the hotel and catering trade. “The unemployment figures released by the INE on 1 September confirm that the economic situation for the hotel and catering industry in Seville is unsustainable,” the employers’ association stated in a press release. The figures provided by the association indicate that August has left almost 1,350 more unemployed in the province, “being the second sector that has lost the most jobs this summer”.
– All this confirms, in the opinion of the employers’ association, that “the summer of 2022 has been one of the worst for the Seville hotel and catering industry”. Source, Spanish: https://sevilla.abc.es/sevilla/centenar-bares-restaurantes-sevilla-cierran-puertas-tras-20220905121513-nts.html

Truss Drafts £130 Billion Plan to Freeze UK Energy Bills:
– Incoming Prime Minister Liz Truss has drafted plans to fix annual electricity and gas bills for a typical UK household at or below the current level of £1,971 ($2,300).
– In discussions with her team and government officials in recent days, Truss has settled on a mechanism that will avert the massive increase in energy bills that is due to kick in at the start of next month under the existing pricing system, according to officials and advisers to Truss who were briefed on the plan. The policy could cost as much as £130 billion over the next 18 months, according to policy documents seen by Bloomberg.
– Energy bills in the UK were due to jump 80% from October to £3,548 a year for the average household, forcing many poorer families to choose between heating their homes and other basics. Under the plans drawn up by Truss’s team, that pricing regime will effectively be abolished and the energy regulator Ofgem will be sidelined.
– Instead, ministers will set a new unit price that households will pay for electricity and gas. A spokesman for Truss declined to comment on the specifics of the plan, while campaign officials confirmed the details were accurate. Scotland to freeze rent and rail fares to help with cost of living crisis:
– Scotland is set to bring in emergency laws to freeze rents and help tenants weather the worsening cost of living crisis. Nicola Sturgeon, the first minister, announced the measure as she set out plans to deal with the “humanitarian emergency” caused by soaring energy bills. “We will take immediate action to protect tenants in the private and social renting sectors,” Ms Sturgeon said.
– Rail fares on ScotRail will also be frozen until at least March 2023 and the Scottish child payment will increase to £25 a week for each child from November, the first minister said. The universal provision of free school meals will also be extended to all pupils in primary six and seven. EU Lays Out New Hurdles For Russian Visa Applicants: The European Commission laid out Tuesday the new hurdles facing Russian travellers seeking EU entry visas, in the latest punitive measures taken in response to Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine.
Ministers from EU member states agreed last week to suspend the 2007 EU-Russia visa facilitation deal, stopping short of an outright travel ban but asking Brussels to draw up new rules. On Tuesday, EU home affairs commissioner Ylva Johansson revealed the proposed new regime, which is expected to win quick approval from member state capitals in the days ahead. Naked ‘Nevermind’ baby loses lawsuit against Nirvana after judge dismisses child pornography complaint:
– A federal court in California has dismissed a lawsuit alleging that the cover artwork of rock band Nirvana’s 1991 album “Nevermind” constituted child pornography. Spencer Elden, 31, who appeared naked on the album cover as a baby, sued the band over alleged “commercial child sexual exploitation.” However, his lawsuit was dismissed on Friday when a judge ruled that Elden had filed his complaint after the 10-year statute of limitations had expired.
– The cover of “Nevermind,” on which the infant Elden appeared, swimming underwater, his eyes fixed on a dollar bill, has become one of the most enduring images in rock music.
– In the original complaint, filed August 24, 2021, Elden’s attorneys said the image was pornographic and that he has suffered “lifelong damages” as a result of his involvement. Full article: https://edition.cnn.com/2022/09/05/entertainment/spencer-elden-nirvana-ruling-scli-intl/index.html

Tennis News- Nadal hints at extended break after U.S. Open exit:
– Rafa Nadal said he needed to “fix things” and was unsure about his return to competitive tennis after his bid for a men’s record-extending 23rd Grand Slam title ended in the fourth round of the U.S. Open on Monday. American Frances Tiafoe, who had lost both previous meetings against the 36-year-old left-hander, stunned the second seed in front of a packed Arthur Ashe Stadium.
– “I need to fix things, life, then I don’t know when I (am) going to come back. I (am) going to try to be ready mentally. When I feel that I will be ready to compete again, I will be there.”

Windows 12 Could Arrive in 2024, New Versions To Be Released Every 3 Years + New Win 11 Updates Soon:
– Two new releases of Windows 11 may end up right on top of one another, according to tweets from a noted Microsoft leaker known for accuracy. Microsoft is currently scheduling Windows 11 22H2 for September 20, according to Windows Central. But the first “Moment” (new term for incremental Windows system upgrades between new version releases) of Windows 11 22H2 could drop soon thereafter, in October. “Moments” were part of an adjustment to Microsoft’s roadmap that will see major feature releases scheduled for every three years, implying that Windows 12 will be due in 2024. SCAMS
The latest WhatsApp scam police are warning about: {Translation}
– Spain recorded more than 305,000 computer crimes last year in 2021. The theft of personal data on the Internet is skyrocketing, with one victim every two minutes, and the way cybercriminals act is diversifying, with WhatsApp as one of the favourite channels to try to get hold of any personal or financial data that opens the door to defraud or coerce users.
– Fake updates, malware distribution, account hijacking, false commercial promises from different brands. There are many forms of WhatsApp scams. The latest is related to identity theft, which has already caused quite a few people serious problems and threatens our family finances.
– National Police has detected “a type of scam via WhatsApp” in which “fraudsters contact women and deceive them by pretending to be their children to ask them, urgently, for money in order to deal with an immediate problem”.
***Scams of up to 3,000 euros***
– The screenshots shown by the authorities show the modus operandi of the scam. The victim receives a message from a phone number not have in his address book. The scammers claim to be one of your children, who has supposedly been forced to contract a new phone line because their usual line has been blocked (something that should make us directly suspicious).
– The scam, initiated by impersonation, goes on to construct a scenario of distress and an urgent need for money, asking the parent to come to the rescue. Such details should never be given to a person who is not willing to agree to a call first to verify that they are who they say they are, and even less so if we are dealing with the amounts shown by the police in their example. Almost 3,000 euros is what is claimed in these WhatsApp messages. Requesting info such as the IBAN of the account, the name and surname of the account holder or the card pin number through this medium is not reasonable and should always put us on alert so as not to fall into scams.
