NOTICE!
Submissions for posting in sections below
must include this info or they will be returned !!!
Sender's First Name / Nearest Town

Note: You may additionally include a location to meet or pickup,
but your location is required in any case. If selling an item from a location different from where you reside, you must include both.
For example: "...Buyer collects in Nerja, John/Malaga"
Why? DigameXtra covers a large area. So, for example, readers in Motril are unlikely to make recommendations, or call about most for-sale items, if they know you are located in Coin. As for including both locations in for-sale posts, the buyer needs to know where to collect the item, but they will also want to know where you are from in case there is a problem. Your cooperation is appreciated.

DoctorLaptop’s Computer Repairs & Services: Have your computer properly maintained with an annual professional servicing to keep it clean, running cool and thus extend its life. You don’t wait till your car engine freezes before you change your oil, now do you? If you do, the repair costs far more than the oil changes you skipped. It’s the same with computers. An inexpensive annual maintenance service is far cheaper than waiting until the device is annoyingly slow and popping up error messages, and thus in need of an expensive repair. Today’s computers are more compact, have smaller fans, and work much harder than your old Win XP laptop. So they must be treated properly to maintain optimum performance. Old laptops were like common Volkswagens; today’s laptops are more like Porsches, in performance as well as in maintenance requirements. Today’s malware and spyware wants to collect your data, not break or slow down your machine. Just because your computer is running OK does not mean it is free of malware and trackers. Infected computers can provide vital info to identity thieves & bank account hackers. Protect your computer & your privacy with annual servicing. My working hours are 2pm to 8pm, Monday thru Friday. The Doctor is closed on weekends. Saturday pickups are possible by appointment. I don’t answer the phone before 12pm, missed calls will be returned that afternoon. Always include the patient’s make and model number when making support requests. DoctorLaptop’s Website & Contact Info: doctorlaptop@protonmail.com or call 675 993 069 after 12pm, missed calls returned asap. My contact details are shown every day in the Sponsor’s Section.

Drought Management Commission agrees on restrictions in the Mediterranean Basin: {Translation} 04/10/2022 · 13:02
– Specifically, the Secretary General for Water of the Regional Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development and President of the Commission for Drought Management, Ramiro Angulo, explained that it has been agreed to carry out the specific measures established in the Special Drought Plan and in the two drought decrees, approved by the Andalusian government.
– According to Angulo, “all the indicators have been checked, their evolution has been analysed and, as a result, action has been taken”. He also thanked the users and associations for their efforts and understanding in the face of the restriction measures that are going to be implemented as a result of the drought. At the same time, he praised their work to “unite shoulder to shoulder and work together”.
SPECIFIC MEASURES
– Specifically, in the Campo de Gibraltar System, it has been agreed to maintain the declaration of exceptional drought and the reduction of the allocations for urban supply (5%), as well as limiting agricultural irrigation to a maximum volume of four cubic hectometres.
– For its part, in the Guadalhorce-Lemonero system, the Commission has decided by common agreement to maintain measures aimed at achieving a 5% reduction in supply and, for agricultural irrigation, a maximum volume of 39 cubic hectometres will be provided.
– The Viñuela-Axarquía system, for its part, remains in an emergency situation, with the reservoir at 10% of its capacity. In this situation, the Commission has approved maintaining the 20% reduction for human supply, with a maximum of 200 litres per inhabitant per day. Meanwhile, for agricultural use, due to the state of the reservoir, it has recognised the impossibility of supplying it with water while the situation persists.
– This situation will be alleviated thanks to the four tertiary treatments carried out (two in Torrox, one in Vélez Málaga and another in Rincón de la Victoria) by the Andalusian government, by virtue of the first drought decree.
– Similarly, the Commission has reported on the existence of a fifth regeneration action underway and which will be completed by the end of the year. These five tertiary treatments will provide the agricultural use of the Axarquia with a total of 12 cubic hectometres. In addition, work continues on the awarding of the contract to connect the Rincón de la Victoria tertiary treatment plant with sector 8 of the Guaro Plan.
– As for the Benínar system, the Management Commission has agreed to maintain the exceptional drought situation declared in March 2022. As in the Viñuela-Axarquía system, last week, the tertiary treatment works at Roquetas and El Ejido were declared an emergency, which will allow the generation of up to 17 cubic hectometres of water for next summer.
– With regard to the Cuevas de Almanzora system, and the Negratín-Almanzora water transfer, the Commission has reached an agreement to keep it closed and with no plans to open it due to the drought in the area. In addition, the declaration of exceptional drought in October 2021 is maintained. In this system, the production of desalinated water continues at maximum capacity as does the emergency work of the first drought decree to improve the guarantee of supply in the Almanzora Valley, which is expected to be completed by the end of the year. Tennis News Update:
– World number one Carlos Alcaraz beaten by David Goffin at the Astana Open. Alcaraz was playing his first tour event since lifting his maiden grand slam title at the US Open last month and becoming the youngest ever men’s world number one. But the 19-year-old struggled on serve throughout the contest with former top-10 player Goffin, who earned a lucky loser place after falling in qualifying, and was beaten 7-5 6-3. Remarkably, it was the first match this year in which Alcaraz has failed to win at least a set.
– Third seed Stefanos Tsitsipas fared better, beating Kazakhstan’s Mikhail Kukushkin 6-3 6-4, while Karen Khachanov saw off Maxime Cressy 6-4 7-6 (3).
– At the Japan Open in Tokyo, top seed Casper Ruud, who was beaten by Alcaraz in the US Open final, admitted his heavy schedule had caught up with him after a 6-3 6-3 loss to Spain’s Jaume Munar.
– Britain’s Dan Evans came from a set down to defeat Radu Albot 6-7 (3) 6-1 6-4, while Nick Kyrgios (pic) was in impressive form on his return to action, beating Tseng Chun-hsin 6-3 6-1. Kyrgios was the only Australian winner, with sixth seed Alex De Minaur beaten 6-3 6-2 by Kwon Soonwoo and Thanasi Kokkinakis falling 6-4 7-6 (4) to ninth seed Borna Coric. Europe approves the universal charger USB-C for all electronic devices: {Translation}
– The European Parliament on Tuesday passed a law requiring all electronic devices sold in Europe to have a single charger, with a USB-C port. This will affect smartphones, tablets and portable devices by the end of 2024, which will force Apple to modify its models, as they use a different charger.
– The regulation passed with a majority of 602 votes in favour and 13 against. This forces Apple to change the current method of charging its iPhones, known as Lightning. The measure is aimed, according to the discussion in the European Parliament, at reducing the millions of obsolete chargers discarded each year by users on the Old Continent, thus reducing costs for consumers.
– The change is expected to save at least 200 million euros ($195 million) per year and reduce more than 1,000 tonnes of e-waste annually in the EU, said EU Competition Commissioner Margrethe Vestager.
– Apple had sourly resisted moves to regulate charging ports for mobile phones and portable devices, saying such legislation would be a barrier to technological innovation.
– The rules adopted Tuesday by the European Parliament should be fully implemented within two years for mobile phones, tablets, digital cameras, headphones, portable speakers, portable video game consoles and e-readers, among others. FINANCIAL

Customers are warning that Sabadell has allegedly put up its banking prices:
– Back in April, the bank, who until as little as three years ago offered free banking, lost many of its clients when it introduced a monthly charge that many deemed excessive.
– New requirements and fees have apparently been announced, as evidenced by letters British ex-pats in Spain have shared with EWN. Quarterly fees now range from €0 to €60, see photo.

How much will pensions in Spain increase in 2023- maximum and minimum quantities: {Translation}
– Pensions in the national public system will increase in amount in 2023. The increase in payments will be effective as early as January 2023, with retroactive effect from 1 January, as ratified by the Minister for Inclusion and Social Security, José Luis Escrivá, who made it clear that this rise in pensions will be adjusted to the CPI, as stipulated by the law on pension reform.
– Thus, the significant rise in the cost of living due to the general increase in energy, fuel, food and services prices has meant that the CPI (Consumer Price Index) has risen to 10.5%, according to data from the National Statistics Institute. With this rise, and taking into account that the Government linked the rise in pensions to the CPI, experts have already calculated how much contributory and non-contributory pensions could increase in 2023.
– To find out the percentage increase in contributory pensions, we will have to wait until the end of November, when the CPI data for November will be released, which is added to the figures for the previous 11 months to establish an annual average that will be applied to the different pensions.
– According to the experts, with the data being recorded so far, plus the foreseeable increase in prices in November due to the proximity of the Christmas campaign and the increase in the cost of energy due to the arrival of winter, the revaluation would be 8%.
How much pensions will rise in 2023
– It is estimated that the minimum contributory pension in Spain, which currently stands at 1,005 euros per month, could rise to 1,075 euros in 2023. For their part, maximum pensions would rise from the current 2,920 euros to 3,016 euros next year (an increase of 96 euros).
– Regarding non-contributory and minimum pensions, it is estimated that they will increase from 421.40 euros to 450.89 euros per month. Source, Spanish: https://sevilla.abc.es/economia/subiran-pensiones-2023-cantidades-maximas-minimas-20221004131001-nts.html
